It is important to note that the CAPP2 study fed people 30 grams of ingredients containing resistant starch. These ingredients are not 100% resistant starch, but have approximately 50-60% resistant starch (depending upon the analytical method). While 30 grams of resistant starch can seem overwhelming to add to your diet, especially from foods alone, the actual amount of bioactive resistant starch was closer to 15-18 grams/day.
