Still blown away by the amazing musical chemistry between Jack Gardiner and Owane. This is so groovy and good i simply get lost for words. Chords, Arrangements, Comp, the solos, he rhythm arrangements. I am totally blown away. And both seem to be humble, great guys that has a pure passion for music while at the same time poking fun of some of the "seriousness" in the music industry... they are living proof that you can reach far by just reaching out directly to the audience.
I really like the sweep down sweep up arpeggio lick. The sweeps don't look too terribly difficult; although I have not tried them yet. The upsweep (in tone not in direction) with the little flick at the end is very tasty. Jack masters the trick of doing sweeps cleanly and exactly in time. Making that one of the signature licks of the song pleased me very much. I had not heard of Neural DSP plugins and their sound was just right for this track. They sound very alive and natural.
All of Neural DSPs plugins are available for two weeks free trial, and they just added the Archtype: Cory Wong which is just incredible. Give em a bash.
I love how this guy was featured in Guitar World. Such sick fusion. I like his album too though. I bought it after finding it on Bancamp which is where I look for new music sometimes.
