Hell Yeah! I thot this was an unusual gig, now I know why. Just as enjoyable watching the video. I just want to dance. I love these Boyz and they deserve to be #1.
I wish I was there when this was recorded, hot as hell! Brothers and Sisters you need to experience this total "funk- a -thon". Organssimo is one of the best funk bands known to man/woman. Thanks Jim
Got here via a Hammond keboard video. Before two years ago I'd never heard of Grant Green; I asked a friend in the UKj what he was listening to, and said, "Grant Green; Idle Moments". Got the CD in Brisbane, no problemo, from a record shop that was just about to close. ps The guitar needed to be a little louder in the mix.
Just stumbed upon this funky tune today, and for some reason I'm not surprised to find you playing this at all. Great version, with a great band. By the way, I really enjoyed your Latona/Ding Dong tutorial. They're now very often in my setlists, thanks to you. Keep it groovy, Jim!
When I first heard the intro to this, I thought you were going to break into Chicago’s version of “I’m a Man”. That would actually be a cool tune for you guys to cover sometime.
This is great if you like a lot of percussion (as in that drum solo), as well as a lot of short percussive notes on the organ thereby giving it an almost pianistic effect, albeit on unweighted manuals).
Randy, I never tire of this. Your playing is like the pulse of life itself, for you are a rhythm god!

This song was written by Mose Davis.
I don't know if the bartender is mixing a drink or playing along with the band. Either way or both, he's shaking it up.
maybe both? 🙂 😀
@@Belchmaster41 I guess he IS with the band.
