Deimos is such a tragic Character that mark the final straw to Kratos's Destiny and the Gods being responsible of creating a Prophecy unintentionally to avoid it,instead created their Downfall even before the Madness of Pandora's Box,hope and pray that Deimos gets announced at some point in Ragnarok but chances are very slim.
Deimos is one of my favorite characters from the God of War series. It was super cool to find out that not only did Kratos get the trademark scar of his right eye from when Deimos was taken; he also tattooed his skin in the same pattern as his brother's birthmark in tribute to him. P.S. Hearing the tenant "A (Spartan) warrior does not let his back hit the ground." makes me think back to early 2018 in the Whole Cake Island arc for One Piece. Charlotte Katakuri, a similarly strong, resourceful and intelligent warrior, broke this tenant he established to become a role model for his younger siblings. He broke it out of respect for finally facing an opponent who fought with all their strength, not for glory but for defending what was dear to them. That opponent? Monkey D. Luffy.
Fun: in the game Sony all star battle royal deimos is alternative costume for kratos. For those who don't know Sony all star battle royal was smash bros Clone that came out back in 2012 for the ps3
Tbh personally I think that it was a missed opportunity for Santa Monica to develop this brotherly connection between Kratos and Deimos in future installments. How cool would it be if they went and killed all the Gods Of Olympus together. Kinda like an adventure like Liu Kang and Kung Lao in Shaolin Monks.
@Prabh Sandhu True, yeah thinking about it again I can say that Kratos wouldn't fuel with rage and kill everybody if he had an alive relative. Because that would make him have a soft spot for somebody and the gods may have used those people as baits to make him come out (even if it has already happened in some way but I think you get my point).

Deimos looks like if Gerard Butler Leonidas got the God Of War treatment. Also it’s great how young Deimos looks so much like young Atreus. Come to think of it Atreus has a lot in common with his deceased uncle Deimos.

I am surprised that a history was on Deimos. I did not think that there would be enough backstory on this character in the God of War series. I have always seen him as a person who got majorly screwed over by the gods, themselves. In their bid to prevent a prophecy of their downfall. They ruined a life and helped give fruition to the actual prophecy by their own actions. Athena played a major hand in kickstarting the doom of the Gods of Olympus.

There may not be enough information on him, but Hercules had a lot in common with Kratos, he was someone that Kratos acknowledged as his brother, and Kratos actually tried to avoid fighting Hercules, despite Kratos ultimately killing Hercules.

A great breakdown and much like their Titan brethren the Olympians would cause their own downfall. Because Cronus was told as well that one of his children would over throw him so the Titan would decide to take a proactive approach and devour his children at birth until Zeus was carried away from the Titan. And Zeus hearing of his brothrens fate would lead the charge against the Titans. Zeus hearing a similar prophecy would take a very proactive approach in trying to avert it only to fall to the same fate as his own father. One can not help but wonder how different the world would be if both Cronus and Zeus had heard this these predictions and chose to ignore them maybe they would have been averted in the end with either one having to act.

Can someone explain something to me? Shouldn't there be 2 Kratos's? In GoW2 Kratos time travels back to Zues's betrayal, I know we see past Kratos go to Hades but being he still Kratos I doubt he'd still die even with another him there ready to fight, I feel past Kratos would just be fueled even more so than before to rejoin the fight with himself vs Zeus. Missed opportunity for co-op GoW in my opinion.
No. Once Kratos traveled back in time and stopped Zeus from killing him in the past, that timeline branched off from the main one. While the Kratos we follow begins his assault on Zeus, the Kratos of that timeline ultimately succumbs to his injuries and is dragged down into the Underworld. Without Gaia's intervention, he doesn't climb out of hell.

i really feel bad for deimos because he suffered a lot and having kratos trying to save him and failing was just sad and depressing.
