HOW TO COMPRESS DUAL PISTON CALIPER WITH A SINGLE PISTON TOOL

In this video we will demonstrate how to compress double piston caliper with single piston caliper brake tool. Before compressing the caliper pistons make sure that you clean them good and there is no sand and rust that will get trapped in the seal. We were able to compress this double piston brake caliper without any problems. If you try to compress one of the pistons at the time it will not work because it will push the other piston out.

Lol these two guys fumbling with the camera and the caliper tool is the best, I just did this today at work but with a standard caliper press and the old brake pad. I just alternated a couple times and both pistons went in. It was a 2017 CR-V if I remember correctly. By the way all I did was CR-V's today, one accord and a civic sedan. It was literally CR-V day today....

I just use an old brake pad and a $7 piston compressor to compress. It works just fine.

Press one down, then hold it down with a c-clamp and another adapter plate while you press the other one.

I have that same compressor tool kit. 2008 Yukon XL. I tried compressing mine in and they’re both froze. Just going to get new calipers.

Hi how do I know if the piston is left or right hand turn?

I have mercedes w123 with 2 pistons, but 1 is on the other side so can't make this work.

I just use my old brake shoe and welding pliers just go slowly, don't force it.

I just compress one, slide it down then wedge my clamp to compress the second one independently.
