How is it that the watch has a time zone feature, but a date can’t be added. The date at the 4 o’clock was so diminutive that it didn’t really hurt the look.
Timezone is inherent to this family of movements. A date function could be added and was on the previous version. I like it more without. A lot of people seem to be shifting to this opinion which is why I suspect they did it. I think the real downgrade was the switch to a ceramic bezel from the sapphire capped.
The steel version was so heavy that it wasn't a daily wearer for most people, which meant it required regularly setting the date on it when you did wear it. But, since it has the travel function, you couldn't quick set the date, so you ended up scrolling the hour hand over and over until you finally reached the correct date. It was annoying, though a first world problem for sure.
I would buy a 39mm Royal Oak Chronograph in 39mm. It's a sharp look, and the value of first-generation 39mm AP RO Chronographs is rising .The reference 25860 is a watch you can wear now and expect that it will gain value over time. Few of the 37mm models will do that, but if you can find a 14790 in tantalum or the "military dial," you'll love it and never get the sense that it's "small." Best, Tim
I own one exactly this model. I don't wear this watch daily so, no-date is perfect for me. Great watch.
Titanium? You look badass!

Agree 100%.....just keep the date for all of them!!

This watch actually wears quite small due to the lug to lug and the shark mesh. Rubber straps wear a lot bigger
Very cool.
Dear Mr Tim
I love your review
I have 16 centimeters circumference wrist
I can’t decide between 37mm and 39mm Royal Oak
What do you recommend me
