I have no problem with you DNFing books :) I find it refreshing when people are able to stop something they are not enjoying and letting it go, so there are more space for something great :)
I'm really enjoying this series - I like that you're not afraid to DNF, Scrap, Thank-you-Next. I have a bad habit of plowing on when I'm not really into a book, so it's good to have a reminder that life is too short for dead dogs, shitty writing or celebrity stalkers. The Imaginary Corpse is giving me some Jasper Fforde vibes from your synopsis, I might have to check that one out.
I really want to read the imaginary corpse now🦖 I managed to convince my 3 year old to let me watch this by saying “Becca has a dog” but he laughed out loud when your books fell over 🙈
I think you made the right call with Gone, there's quite a bit of animal stuff. It's a fast paced series, but if you read it I don't think you'd keep it anyway - just like a fun thriller
“Put that down” made me scream!😂 They always start acting up when they don’t get what they want!😅 You’ve convinced me to pick up Dating Dr Dill! 10 things I hate about you is one of my all time favourite movies!! 🤩
Violet Made of Thorns is actually one of my favorites! It was my 2nd favorite book of 2022 👏🏻 The Imaginary Corpse sounds so cool! The romance hardbacks falling over just gave me so much anxiety 😭 I adore Shelf It or Scrap It 💕
I used to loooooooooooooove reading romance. It was mostly what I read until recently. Now, I can't seem to stick with romance at all. I've been reading mostly horror and historical fiction lately.
Your first Shelve it or scrap it was on my watch later and I watched it yesterday and the part 2 and now part 3 today 😂 so don’t feel bad with your long watch later list
I know this video came out quite a while ago, but I just got around to watching it and wanted to mention how much I enjoyed it! This series is great, and this was such a fun episode!! ❤
wait what?! You're half- South Asian! Where have I been? love your vlogs as always. Becca! I'm glad this series has been full of surprises!! I recommend "Love Chai and other Four Letter Words" by Annika Sharma for a start of romance series with South Asian Rep! I read the first two books and loved really enjoyed them.
Yay for 500th ride! Hope peloton sponsors you soon! And I saw you signed up for London mara! me too ahahah I hope I get entry 😅 Bree and her absolute chaos 🤣🤣🤣 Your manga haul sounds sooo good at 30:00!! I'm sooo invested in your bedroom renovation 🤣 its been going for sooo long. Crying at Fourth Wing causing chaos 🤣🤣 Bree with the YAWN 😂😂😂
I will definitely have to try The Imaginary Corpse. It sounds very interesting. Have you read the Thursday Next books? The premise reminds me a little of that. Those aren't very noir, but the world of books plays a huge part of the story.
You’ve always motivated me to read but HOLY CRAP did you get me out of the house today with your running, yoga and biking 💪🏻 I canNOT emphasize enough how awesome it’s been watching your progress with your workouts and I really appreciated you sharing them (if you ever don’t share that ok too but I had to give you props because I literally jogged today because of you) 🦕
I love Shelve it or Scrap it SO much! I love seeing people trying books and getting rid of them. It's lowkey therapeutic lol Also The Imaginary Corpse sounds amazing! Added to my TBR!
I love that the Pellaton instructor gave a little shoutout! On the hate to love/business rivals trope, have you read Make Up Break Up by Lily Menon? It's got rival dating companies! I think Violet Made of Thorns was trying to tell you to read it haha. I'm also having a hellish time with romance lately, it's just been so much disappointment this year. I am living for this series!
I was looking for this on your channel yesterday so I’m so happy it’s here today. I’ve basically done a whole month of shelve it or scrap it. It’s time to read my damn shelves. Thanks for the inspiration.
love this series, the only book i have read from todays episode is the Gone series which i adore but it was in the height of dystopia hype when i read them, the dog doesn't die but it makes complete sense why you'd DNF the series. looking forward to the next one. ps love the bedroom colour and carpet looks fab
This is my new favorite series on Booktube. I love the unpredictability factor.
Same here!
right? It's like a wholesome, chaotic neutral vibe lol
YAS!!!
Its got both the satisfaction of unhauls with new book recs. A two for one!
BABES WAKE UP, BECCA POSTED A NEW SHELVE IT OR SCRAP IT!
I have no problem with you DNFing books :) I find it refreshing when people are able to stop something they are not enjoying and letting it go, so there are more space for something great :)
The "Put that Down" in mid sentence absolutely sent me 😂 That's such a dog mom move that I've undoubtedly done time and time again

"I can't believe I love this book" the best thing a reader can say ❤
Honestly the imaginary corpse sounds like inside out for adults
That’s what I was thinking as well! Sounds so good
I really want to read the imaginary corpse now🦖 I managed to convince my 3 year old to let me watch this by saying “Becca has a dog” but he laughed out loud when your books fell over 🙈
she's better than me cuz i would simply put new bookshelves in the bedroom instead of scrapping any lol
I think you made the right call with Gone, there's quite a bit of animal stuff. It's a fast paced series, but if you read it I don't think you'd keep it anyway - just like a fun thriller
This series is like a guilty pleasure and inspires me to look at my shelves and TBRs in different ways. Super entertaining :)
Literally, my favourite series to watch on booktube right now!
An hour long video! Yay! 😁🎉❤
Okay but knock knock open wide sounds so good
Just wanted to warn you, Violet Made of Thorns ends on a cliffhanger and the author recently announced that she will not be finishing the series.
