    Another good vid man. I keep coming back to your 1098 vids! Thanks as always!

    Your're quick summary at the end talks about it being a bit clunky between 4-6k rpm... would you recommend this product? Are you still happy with it?

      My buddy has the same unit but for an 848 and his shifts smooth throughout. I think the unit works well and the clunky is the nature of the Ducati 1098. If I were todo this again I would try the stock shifter they make for the 1098S but have a feeling it still would be clunky at lower engine speeds.

    Hey curious on what length you used? I am trying to get one for my 848 and since they basically have same chasis and everything, I'm wondering what lengtht he shift rod is?

    Great video an. I have an 848 EVO, basically the same parts as the 1098, so I regularly look to your videos when I do work on my bike. I've just ordered one of these quick shifters, can't wait for it to arrive, but your video will be my instruction guide>
    Thanks for putting your videos up man.

    Great Video. What is your experience after many years using that quickshifter?
    I always think about to install one. But i'm reading so many bad things about damaged gear boxes and so on.
    How is it working on your Ducati?

      I haven't noticed any issues. I found it worked better at wide open throttle. At slower speeds I would slightly engage the clutch to obtain a smoother shift.

    Hey Nathan, two things. How do you connect the module to the tail light? Did you splice anything? Lastly, I have a charger on my 1098 as well. Why is it no bueno to connect the module directly to the battery?

    • @brotheus6310
      @brotheus6310  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You just splice the wire that is connected to the running light. Annitori says the shifter will drain your battery over time since essentially it will always be on and connecting your charger to the batter while the shifter is connected to it just means your powering your shifter. Plugging it into the running light means when your bike is off the shifter module is also off. Very easy todo there is a plug right under the seat.

      Brotheus hey thanks man. Last thing. By tail light you mean the light on the license plate right or the brake light

    • @brotheus6310
      @brotheus6310  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can do light on the license plate or running tail light. Obviously not brake light cause that is only on when your braking.

      I also have a 848 evo and I'm wonder if the tail light wire is color coded yellow? Once I connected everything, including powering the quick shifter with yellow tail light wire, it didn't flash green light.

    Just noticed you have an interesting setup for the frame sliders. Where did you get that bracket to which the slider is affixed to?

    • @brotheus6310
      @brotheus6310  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      T-Rex sells the frame slider kit

      @brotheus6310  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      mark genders just up. Unfortunately the 1098 Is not equipped with an electronic throttle so auto blip is a no go.

      Brotheus ahhh ok was just wondering and also u mentioned splicing the wires to tail light is that the white block connectors under seat cant remember after installing the tst lights

    • @brotheus6310
      @brotheus6310  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah the large connector under the seat that powers the light. I don't recall which wire is the running light you can just check with a voltmeter.
