    I just can't figure out why this channel has so few subscribers? You deserve more Manuel! I see your hard work on every video, keep it up and maybe in future u will reach the mark of a million subs! A little story about myself as a future (i hope) motion designer. I started in 2020 in December and then I just started studying after effects and at the moment I don't know when I should start freelancing, there is some self-doubt, I think they will give me an order that I cannot fulfill. Can you give some advice on this occasion? I'll be very thankful!

      Watch: soon we'll see his subscribers and views increase. There isn't that many motion graphics yt channels that are as consistent as Manuel's is. Ben marriott is an obvious one. Tiptut is another. And there are others. But this kind of content has a lot of value and insight. Keep creating

      Thx very much! I really appreciate it. The channel is growing;)
      Before starting to freelance I would make sure to have a network of people who could be potential clients. And you should safe some money to be able to survive without being forced to take every job.
      I would recommend to work in an agency or company for a few years especially at the beginning of your career. There you learn a lot about workflow, dealing with clients you probably learn a lot of stuff from your colleagues.
      I worked the first years as employee before I started to freelance. I‘ve built a network of clients during that time which helped a lot.

  • @RailRide

    The "struggle" for this viewer, in the context of the question posed in the outro, is learning the nuts and bolts of how to do it without incurring "the Adobe tax". (i.e. the gift that keeps on...taking 🤣)
    The use case I would have for motion graphics is blatantly non-commercial -- just a brief animated intro and an infographics-style outro (ideally imitating a Solari board), listing the items appearing in model-train videos that _might_ be seen by a couple hundred people a year (a peek at my channel will confirm this :D ). It's not strictly necessary, but at least a welcome upgrade to what I've been doing up to this point video-wise.
    I have used Krita, Clip Studio and Inkscape (and have Moho Pro, but haven't installed it yet) for several years worth of digital artwork already, So I probably have the tools to at least _approximate_ this artform, but the vast majority of the MG how-to's floating about are for the Adobe ecosystem owing to its dominant position. That potentially leaves me (but not really looking forward to) rummaging through countless After Effects tutorials and attempting to translate those to whatever I have on-hand or can acquire at a comparatively low cost.

      Thanks very much! I think you need to be patient. It takes years of practice to become a good Motion Designer. One way to improve would be trying to recreate animations you see on Instagram for example. Or do a personal project, like an animated shortfilm. Or try to do a animation every day within a certain amount of time. That forces you to come up with something. I‘ll do a video on how to come up with ideas soon...

    Is the Best concept of Motion Design that I Heard.👍👍👋💯
    But, what is the difference between Motion Graphics and Motion Design..????🤔🤔🤔
    They are the same ? what is the relationship or one is inside the other?
    I would appreciate your answer.

    • @ManueldoesMotion
      @ManueldoesMotion  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s so great to hear! 😊 Thanks very much! Motion Graphics and Motion Design basically mean the same. Motion Design emphasizes more on the Design aspect, like creating/designing something. Motion Graphics hints at that it’s about graphics.

    Hi, I'm from business background but have an interest in the design sector. Is it possible for anyone who doesn't have an academic degree in motion design but start learning this? I would love to change the track and learn this!

    • @ManueldoesMotion
      @ManueldoesMotion  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! You don't need an academic degree. I never studied design or anything like that. There's a lot of resources online to learn the software. Then you need to learn the basic rules of design. Like composition, colour theory and stuff like that. You could easily take an Online course for that. And the most important thing is, you need to love doing it. Otherwise it will be very frustrating. It needs time and experience to get better. So you need to be patient. Nobody ever wanted to see a degree from me... Your portfolio is much more important... Did that help?

    Really great video! I love the vast examples of different uses you have mentioned. I have been doing motion for two years now and I'm having a hard time with mastering 3D as the workflow is a bit different in a sense. I would say that having your "style" is the longest thing to achieve as you have to be some sort of swiss army knife going from Illustrator-Photoshop to After Effects and Premiere but I agree with you that once you get there it's like playing a game and you're having a lot fun! I wonder what was the thing you struggled the most with when learning motion?

    • @ManueldoesMotion
      @ManueldoesMotion  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks very much! I struggled - and still struggle most with having patience in general. Because it simply takes time to learn all the software, become good at design and the other skills you need to have, to develop a style and some sort of confidence. Like you said, especially 3D takes a long time because it's a lot to learn. And there are other things I struggle with, like saying "NO" to clients for example;-)
