For each color:
1 tbsp agar-agar powder (Telephone / Champion Cup Brand)
4 tbsp cold water
1 cup juice (240ml) eg. red beet, grape, orange juice etc.
1 cup coconut milk 240ml
2-3 tbsp sugar, optional

Hello chị Helen, em thích làm món rau câu này lắm! nhà em cũng hay đổ rau câu với nước cốt dừa kiểu như vậy! em nghĩ vấn đề mà chị lấy nó ra khó như vậy là bởi vì: - thứ nhất là chị cho đường vào luôn trước khi đun sôi, em thường cho đường và màu rau củ vào lúc mà nồi rau câu đã sôi chuẩn bị tắt bếp (để tránh mất màu và chai rau câu) thứ 2 là nước cốt dừa cũng thêm vào sau khi chị tắt bếp luôn, Bình thường thì ta nấu 1 nồi rau câu lớn sau đó phân ra các màu trong 1 cái tô riêng chứ ko nên làm ngược lại sẽ mắc công đun sôi nhiều lần. Một số kinh nghiệm của em, chúc chị thành công hơn nhe chị ^^ Cảm ơn các món chị đã hướng dẫn ạ, em thích lắm!

Love the so called behind the scene :) btw , Asian jellos are my favorite snack ...all that Coconut , Coffee and Panda's extract flavors are yummy , it's light and so fresh in your mouth .
Panda's extract? I hope not. The poor things are close to extinction already. Hapens when a letter gets lost somewhere. It was of course pandan extract. ;)

hi Helen I have tip to take the jelly cake out easily....you can use a pestle or something heavy, then beat around the mold and the bottom also..I applied this method on mooncake jelly mold...and it turned out well..:)...hope it helpful for you..

When I was a child, my mum used to make a yoghurt jelly cake, with cake base. I think this could nicely go on top of it. (we used to add fruit in jelly yoghurt mixture while setting)

Wow, this is amazing. I want to make this. Is there anything that you can substitute instead of coconut milk? My sister doesn't like coconut (I don't understand her lol).
I'm sure you could use regular milk, almond milk or soy milk instead.

that was pretty cool thanks for sharing ! i will try this myself, gotta get molds though xD and i dont know if i can get agar agar though! can i use regular gelatine instead? and if so what quantity should i use? the same as you did with agar agar or more? , less, hehe i dont know if agar is more stiff/harden up like than gelatine thats why i ask
Agar is more to the crunchy side. And it takes less time to set. Normally gelatin takes 4-5 hours in the fridge to set, so it would take forever to make this cake :))

Chị ơi e ko có í bắt lỗi nhưng chữ often đọc là ophen chứ ko phải opten.opten là cách đọc của ng hồi xưa h ko dùng nữa chị à^^
ok em, lần sau chị sẽ sửa. Tự nhiên từ hồi học tiếng Đức xong lại đọc chữ đó thành opten, vì đọc ophen nghe giống chữ offen của tiếng Đức nghĩa là open :)) Bị loạn ngôn ngữ rồi :))

Where can I get tho molds from? U should of greased them first :-) that's how I do it n they come out very easily
The mold, she bought them in VietNam , you can''t find them outside of VN,you don''t need to put any oil over that if you put any oil you can not eat.

actually you can find them in (big) asian grocery stores if you look ;) if you live near a hong kong city mall they have them in their market!
