Any chance you can do tutorial videos for making different types of sounds in FM patches? I'm using various algorithms in Dexed to approximate the OPN2. Got the bell from Corridors of Time pretty easily (for 2, 4, or 6 operators), but it's a bell. Everything else is really hard.
Probably no tutorials specifically for that. FM is a learning experience, so I would suggest starting with 4op or maybe dabble a bit with 2op first. The DX7/Dexed is another beast altogether, which I am unfamiliar with. Anyway, by dabbling with 2 or 4op first, you can better familiarise yourself with what types of things you can do in general.
@@ChiptunedRaijin Fair enough, and yeah, Dexed is a lot different. Bells are eluding me in the OPN2 because I usually use fine tuning, but you can do it with like f=3+3 modulating f=1. I built from basic principles on how bells work to do one for Corridors of Time, but again, DX7 lets me use things like f=3.6+3 and OPN2 doesn't. Some of the instruments people get out of the Genesis are simply unbelievable. Wizard programming at work.
yeaaaaaaaa
Great job on the soundtrack. Cheers :)
@@ChiptunedRaijin cheers my guy. love your work
@@rrthiel love both you guys
I'm glad this song's getting more recognition. It's one of my favorite Mega Man fan songs, beside Zero's theme from Unlimited.
I have never jammed out so hard to any song ever in my life.
a crossover between two of my favourite chiptune artists right now! this is great!
loving the since chime, almost doubling as a drum.

Can you upload your remixes on gdrive. TH-cam audio compression is horrible. Please.

@@johnmoser3594 its a possible suggestion, mess with the SSG-EG effects and play with the ramp sensitivities. i got some wild sounds from doing that
