This amazing! Super excited to give this a play! Love the presentation and all the little details put into the game. Even the vfx is chalk full of charm! I'm curious as to what engine/framework this is made on.
The game engine itself is the aptly named Game Maker engine. I'm not sure exactly which version, though if I had to guess, it specifically uses GameMaker Studio 1.4, as that is the version that the Megamix Engine (a Mega Man framework that this game uses) is for.

would it be interesting if you could break the checkpoint, something like shovel knight, quite an interesting challenge, also this demo looks REALLY AWESOME!
