      He feels hatred because the Ur-quan are the descendent of solitary hunters; they find the presence of other beings all-but-intolerable even before the Dnyarri enslaved them. That's why there's always an edge in their voices. That, and of course, the pain of the exruciator which would put even the most civilized being on edge.

    The Ur-Quan are the best sci-fi villains ever created. Unlike most of your stereotypical alien invaders, the Ur-Quan are not evil. They're victims of thousands of years of pain, cruelty, and slavery. They want to ensure their freedom forever so this is the most logical plan for them.
    Besides...part of what he says is true, we are our own worst enemies. They even say in the game - an Ur-Quan will never be insulting, betray, or lie...even their their enemies. They have their own sense of honor.

    If you're wondering why the Kzer-Za decided to enslave instead of massacre everyone. I think that notion was formed due to their forced massacre of the Taalo, their only friends. The Kzer-Za remember how terrible it was and never want it to happen again, for anyone.

    One thing I find really interesting is how these Ur Quan talk about their hero Kzer-Za but the Kohr-Ah never bring him up. Instead, they call all Green Ur-Quan "Effete", or ineffectual. That's pretty disingenuous though, considering if it wasn't for Kzer-Za sacrificing himself to teach his people about the weakness of the Dnyarri, the Kohr-Ah race would have remained slaves to the Dnyarri to this day. Not to mention, ya know, the Kzer-Za race managed to beat the Kohr-Ah in the first iteration of the doctrinal conflict.

    What is interesting is that if the Ur-Quan conquered modern day Earth, life would be almost the same as it is today. GPS would go out because of being cut off from satellites, the sky would be red, historical buildings would be gone but apart from that, Ur-Quan "slavery" does not seem like slavery at all. They don't really require their "fellow slaves" to do ANYTHING for them apart from refueling their starships on a glorified orbital gas station (which is actually a good idea, as keeping a few people in orbit will act as a "vent" for those who really want to go to space). Apart from that, life under the Ur-Quan would be basically exactly the same as today, just with an omnious red sky. They don't extract resources, they don't indoctrinate people, all they want to do is to keep them planet-bound. They are not good guys, but by far the best "evil" alien conquerors.

The tone is very sinister and imposing, about like you’d want and expect from the “main villain”, but whenever they put emphasis on a word, the guttural vocal fry makes them sound almost like they’re on the verge of sobbing, which is probably exactly the case considering their ghastly past.

    @Campernicus I can explain the reasoning behind this, as it is based on what the Kohr-Ah say later in the game when you ask why they are doing what they do. Basically, the Dynarri psychically subdued the Ur-Quan race. At the time it was just one race. Then, they tampered with them, like domesticated animals, to produce two breeds that they wanted. Kohr-Ah were bred to be warriors/laborers, and Kzer-Za to be scientists/leaders/thinkers/planners. As a result, after liberation, both groups.. (cont)

Not that the 'Nids wouldn't inflict massive casualties though. I doubt they would even attempt subjugulation. Also, the Ur-Quan have a HUGE variety of vessels and troops at their disposal. I imagine it would be like Hive Fleet Gorgon VS the Tau. I would give the edge to the Ur-Quan in this case. Theodore Hodbor The Kohr-Ah would definitely have some turn to Khorne, i imagine. Some Kzer-Za might even turn to Tzeentch, i bet. As for the battle thralls? I almost guarantee you the Ilwrath would pledge their allegiance to Khorne after accepting Khorne as a form of Dogar and Kazon ( They are probably BASED on Khorne, after all ). The Umgah could potentially turn to Nurgle. Some allegiances would definitely change. Might make a call for the 2 different Ur-Quan factions to actually unite against something for once, considering that they both would likely view Chaos as a threat to their freedom. I doubt the non-chaos affiliated Ur-Quan would be too forgiving of those who did turn to Chaos, probably resulting in inter-hierarchy casualties. Chaos would definitely have a lasting affect on the Ur-Quan's rule, that's for sure.

    • @theodorehodbor5080
      @theodorehodbor5080 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      John Heater I bet that the Ur-Quan probably would unite against Chaos, primarily because the Kzer-Za's method of dealing with races wouldn't work with Chaos. When it comes to Chaos worshipers, you can't just simply tell them "stop worshiping Chaos!" or even threaten them to stop. Either they've gone insane from it or were physically mutated by it. Chaos is literally the religious form of cancer. You can't cure it, all you can do is remove the infected tissue. And removing "infected tissue" is something the Kohr-Ah excel at. Either both will unite against it and use the Kohr-Ah's methods to deal with it, or the majority of the Kzer-Za will die due to failed attempts at subjugating Chaos worshipers.

    • @andreinazarov7638

      Nope, the marauders can just kill all fighters with the fire ring and the surikens fly longer than the plasma shots from the dreadnoughts

    • @Duke_Blitzein
      @Duke_Blitzein ปีที่แล้ว

      If the Dreadnaught unleashes it's full battery against a mauraduer and the Maurauder unleases it's full battery against the dreadnaught and this is at the range of the dreadnaught's, the faster firing rate of the dreadnaught kill the maurder before being killed. Still I prefer the Maurader because a Dreadnaught can never catch a Pkunk fury. With the Maurader it can lay it's project as mines and the pkunk could fly into them.

    The Kzer Za ur quan are really the good guys as so far as compared to the Ar Khan other aliens. too bad they are too dumb to realize humans made this game and thus win in every single battle ever against the aliens in the end hahah :S
    Also he didnt have wepons on the ship because he turned his ship into a space carrier and fights with his cruisers and fighter ships instead.
