Nice riding, Swansea looking good. Is the road open for shuttling again or did you have to take the uptrack?

The road is still closed unfortunately so we pedaled the uptrack.

Do you ever get arm pump? If so, what changes do you make in technique/bike setup to mitigate it?

Used to on long rough descents. Push ups and weight lifting for 💪, shoulders, and back has helped me the most. Transferring more weight to the legs, relaxing arms and grip when possible, and proper suspension setup and tire pressure are key too.

Ahh ok. I definitely need to work on my fitness, but my fox 36 just feels like it has a lot of stiction and it lacks small bump sensitivity even at 25% sag. Do you notice any stiction when you push down on the fork while off the bike?

While you are off the bike, not the fork lol

@@YoNeilBiking Could be time for service. Try storing your bike upside down for a few hours before a ride to let the oil flow towards the seals. My Fox X2 seals were so dry that stiction pulled out the dust wiper last week 🤦‍♂️. Also, from what I've read Fox has sometimes put too much grease on the piston which can add to the problem.
I've found the Fox recommended settings pretty stiff. Have a look at the Yeti or Pivot suspension setup guides for the 36.

@@WilltoRide Interestingly enough, a few weeks ago I serviced my lowers and the air spring (then I cleared the excess grease on the piston). I also have tried putting the bike upside down and although is helps, it isn't a significant difference. I don't rly run my fork with fox recommended settings because I did find them to be quite harsh; I run 25% sag and pretty fast rebound. However, with all of that said, I still notice quite a lot of stiction in comparison to my float dps shock and in general the small bump sensitivity just isn't there. Maybe it's normal and I'm too sensitive to it? I wish I could try squishing another 36 to see if mine is "normal" in terms of stiction lol. Does your rear shock feel better in the initial part of the stroke in comparison to your fork?
