    Now that's a ridiculous coincident. Was actually searching the net for a set of used shimano 4 pot brakes in their 6120-9120 lineup and came across those alieexpress brakes. Was wondering if they were worth to give a try. Sounds pleasing actually. Might just try them out as well. How do you like them after 4 months? Someone said, Hope pads work? I use Tech4 E4 and V4 on other bikes, do E4 pads work? Do you they compare to shimano brakes?

    • @TrailTales
      @TrailTales  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have slotted in some Hope e4 pads before my little trip to the UK and they fit and work fine... But they don't have the "fancy" heat sink fins on them... Which is fine... Affter 4 months now... I'm still happy with them. They could be a bit more powerful... But the modulation is good and that - to me - is more important than boat loads of power.

  • @TobiB89
    @TobiB89 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    The noise is probably coming from the pads, respectively the cooling fins on them. The pads that came on my Shimano XT brakes also had these fins and they made the exact same rattling sound. Changed the pads to a set without cooling fins and the noise is gone.

The rear brake the pre fitted hose to the back brake caliper had a very small leak, that was why my brakes kept squeaking. On the caliper there are two bleed screws, I think both need to be bled to get the calipers pushing outwards equally, as I noticed the pistons on the one side push out better than the other..... Find this odd and I may be wrong... But why are there the same bleed ports on caliper both with the same fitting......
