Today I have watched 3 different "How to recruit" videos and I can tell you that none of it has sunk in or will sink in and i will only end up with 2 stars at Georgia
1) limit your board to like 10-15 names 2) S tier recruits get max hours, lower star GEM recruits get at least 25hrs 3) after your initial pre-season board of 10-15 names is signed come week 5-6, either turn on auto recruiting to handle the lower star/fill out the class players or start a "new" cycle now of another 5-10 players.
I think you’re underselling the motivator archetype and it’s primarily because recruiting looks a bit too easy. Instead of fighting for your life trying to get 4s and 5s, the point is to get the much easier 2s and 3s and turn them into 4s and 5s through development.
Yeah it’s all about winning. Took me about 5-6 years of consistent winning and developing talent, now in years 7-10 my team(SMU) is a powerhouse. I’d say 80% of my recruits are 4 star, and the remaining 20% split up between 3 star gems and 5 star guys. Team is stacked with talent at every position but still don’t feel completely over powered
@@TTV_2ezydom After the season, on national signing day, every recruiting class will be assigned a ranking based on the number of recruits and how good those recruits are. Your recruiting class needs to be ranked in the top 5 for 2 different seasons in order to unlock the ability to purchase the Elite Recruiter archetype.
If you have 1125 hrs in that first week where all you can do is scout and offer scholarships then you might as well fully scout at least 30 prospects or a full target list of 35. There is not benefit to not using all of your hours, so you should always use all of your hours every week.
@Fentnawll when a player is ready for a visit you just move hours around so you have enough to schedule the visit. The main thing is to always use all of your hours every week.
Getting off the game rn, it’s nice!! The recruiting side of it is much much harder than I remember it being and definitely going to take some time to master it. Maybe Strategiest could unlock after year 2 if you make the CFP in the first two years? Depends if each win in the playoff would count as a bowl win, Lets say Cotton bowl win in the Quarter, Rose bowl in the semi and then the Natty? Could be 2 or 3 bowls wins in year 1.
The archetypes tell you what you need to do to unlock it. Strategist is a hybrid between Recruiter and Tactician so you need to spend 25 points in each base class and meet another requirement to unlock it.
I’m using Maryland, and I don’t have a lot of problems. But I’ve been putting in mad work. Got like 10 5 stars one year. But I realize not all 5 stars are all that. And again, Maryland isn’t a bad school, so the pipeline isn’t bad. And I’ve won like 5 national championships already sooo 😅 but I start with 5 star players that I need. If any of them are gems, I’m definitely putting my all into them. Then I move onto 4 star players that I need. And so on..
Well. Was neck and neck on a 4 star qb with notre dame as Miami of Ohio. Upset number 7 Notre Dame. The next week he signed with Notre Dame. What the flip.

If you’re starting a Dynasty with a lower tier team that is less likely to land the top recruits. Would you suggest selecting the motivator archetype or just always select recruiter??
Hey C4. I have a couple of questions.. a) If your a small school say a 1* school would it be best to get you draft class by sorting by interest since it would be better chance then someone who isn't interested. b) would u say uncommitted players by like 8-9 week is that when you would do your lower lock cheese from 14 where you can go look for players who are not committed yet? c) If say you had a 1* school but then you had a bunch of crappy players on the team and you wanted to release them after all of the scouting could u say get 7 WR commit because in the back of your head you release 3 crappy ones before season 2 begins or because your scouting too many of one position they might deal break you because your recruiting too many of one position but yet they dont release that your releasing a bunch of crappy players on your team anyways after the off-season
A) yes, small school take what you can get. Likely at best a couple low rated 4 stars but mostly 3 star gems would be your board. B) yeah I noticed around week 6 your original board was pretty much set in stone so time to move on C) yeah, you can backload players because before a new season starts you have an option to “encourage players to transfer” which is essentially cuts. Bring in your class and then thin the heard before week 1
Yeah from what I have been seeing, you're definitely only going to be able to update your coach a little. Points look VERY scarce and getting to elite versions of trees doesn't seem like it will be a common thing u less you only invest in that tree. Going back and look, the coach cap definitely needs to be raised. Why have a 30 year dynasty if you can max out in 10 years.
I’m the gators and I get the taking points off to hard sell and soft sell. I’m with all that but nobody’s signed and Iv been in like 6 guys top 3. Please help I’m like right on the cusp of having this all figured out.
Thanks for this walkthrough! Super helpful. I know we’re all just learning the game, but since you’re on year 11, did you notice losing a school rating by a ton after one year? I took ASU (3 star program) and was default A- pro potential for whatever reason. Nobody got drafted in my sim year, but we went to bowl game. Pro potential dropped to D- and I lost like six guys to deal breaker transfers. Is that just the cutthroat style of this game? Hard to get the ratings back up toward that desired B- at least?
So step one. Get any 5 and 4 stars interested in your school. Step two. Cut the size down. Scout em get rid of busted gems. Advance to well 1 and then offer the 15 to 20 guys you have. Then on all 5 stars send the house. Friends family for 4 stars. A week or two go by then pull back hours to schedule anyone you can. Then hard sell or soft sell. Keep reallocating hours too get the guys I'm scheduled then trim as needed
It takes me an entire season just to recruit a few 3 star recruits lol I watch videos like this for tips and it only makes me even more confused. I just suck at this lol
quick question but is ur star rating going to impact the grade of you pipeline? or how do you get the higher pipelines. Ex. I’m using wvu and i have my pipeline in md. will my pipeline always stay as a max of 3 or can it go up? if so then how?
First year recruit at Memphis. Have 20 guys left on my board, 10 guys signed, week 12. I think, let’s try the C4 way and turn on recruit assist…. Week 13, my recruiting board is emptied, and has all 1 star guys on now. Wtf?!?!?
Do you see a lot of cheese like I’ve seen with other creators? Basically 4-5 star recruits not getting offered any scholarships so you can just come in and get them easily. I heard they were going to patch it.
regarding the recruiting interest bar, what does the two-tone interest bar mean for some recruits? Is that how much their interest will increase when advancing to next week?
@@BigJonahJ I feel like I need to lmao I will say I haven’t done it with a G5 school but Im not having any issues landing good recruits personally when I play the game. Maybe it’s luck idk
I do have a question I am playing as Marshall but I love running the ball with the qb is it gonna be tough to recruit a 4-5star scrambling or mobile qb or should I try getting a lower tier scrambling qb
Silly Q. When looking at the player card on the recruiting board, what does the NAT, STA & POS values next to the stars mean? Is it there ranking for national, state and position?
Or raise the coach level cap. From what it looks like you'll only be able to upgrade about 25-30% of the skills. And C4 looks like he capped his coach in year 10. 10 years is max coach???
I'll also say I think it's ridiculous that Ea hasn't calibrated it's simulation IQ in the game.Bama,Georgia and Ohio state we through first season less that 4 wins just simulating????Its like wow
Did I miss it or did you explain why 27 was "too many targets"? Did you discuss your projected scholarship number for the next year previously? If you are recruiting "over" other players on your roster, you can always persuade them to transfer out. If you have your full hours/resources, I don't see any reason not to try and fill all 35 scholarships unless you know for sure the guys at the end of the board will not be as good as returning talent (or possibly better in 1-2 years as those guys come off the roster anyway).
Anything over 27 you just won’t have enough hours to offer everyone a realistic amount to remain competitive in the recruiting process for the first few weeks
I suppose it is just a strategy thing. This approach is possibly a realistic way to go about it for some programs in certain years - invest a lot of resources in top targets early, and after the list reduces itself down and you have landed your higher rated guys, go back and reinvest into the lower tier players to fill out your class. Obviously there will be years where you can get by with a class of 15-20 guys depending on your upper classmen situation and/or draft eligible guys, but there will be other years where you may need to take 30+ just to fill out your roster. This strategy will probably need to fluctuation based on your roster needs.
When they get to their top ‘x’ amount of schools. You’ll get a pop up when simming to the next week and/or checking their recruiting profile every week
yes but how many players did he get total in class. i saw one where guy got 1 5 star and 4 four stars, but ended with only 10 players or so roughly. If 20 players leave, and you only bring in 10, youre not going have depth, and wear and tear will kill u thus takes more resources to get 5/4 stars but as a small school u prob need more 3s for depth
He just got very lucky. You’re really only going to get 1 5 star every cycle. Especially with the patch they’re adding for day 1 who knows what will change
if there's anything I didnt answer in the video feel free to shoot your questions here and I'll try and answer them!
Can we edit the recruitment class?

I do have a question I am playing as Marshall but I love running the ball with the qb is it gonna be tough to recruit a 4-5star scrambling or mobile qb or should I try getting a lower tier scrambling qb
You could probably land an athlete that meets your needs.
So you don't get nothing just for moving for the next week?
Is there a way to turn off auto save?
I haven’t seen anyone try to add the 2nd and 3rd ideal pitch that only applies to your school
In the old game, I recruited skill position players all based on 40 times LOL
how do you increase your overall hours? is that by increasing your teams overall? and pertiage?
Yeah the better you are the more hours

Silly Q. When looking at the player card on the recruiting board, what does the NAT, STA & POS values next to the stars mean? Is it there ranking for national, state and position?
National rank, state rank, position rank
@@itz2020 thanks 👍👍
Nice sunglases. 🕶️
Why are some of the transfer portal players locked? I just won the Natty but a lot of the good players on the transfer portal are locked. Why is that?
Do you know why a visit would be locked? I have a player im number 1 on his board by a long shot and he is in his top 3 but visit is locked
Can you change your schools as a coach?
They need to add more years to dynasty if we can’t hit those skill levels early so 40 years would be better
Or raise the coach level cap. From what it looks like you'll only be able to upgrade about 25-30% of the skills. And C4 looks like he capped his coach in year 10. 10 years is max coach???
You coach maxes out at level 50, I think they need to raise it to 100
@C4TH-cam ask them pls. Hopefully that's a simple patch
We need 60 years!!
We shouldn't have to start over a dynasty until almost a new damn game release! That's not unheard of.
Can you not do custom rosters or create players for your team?
Are recruiting hours per week or for the season?
Per week
Need the coach ability breakdown ASAP!
Coming later tonight!

How do u think recruiting is gonna work in online dynasty?
How do you increase your athletic facility grade?
How do you know when they’re ready for visit?
When they get to their top ‘x’ amount of schools. You’ll get a pop up when simming to the next week and/or checking their recruiting profile every week
How many hours per week should I be spending
Max
What do the diamonds mean and the colors of them?
What’s the dev trait tier list? And is the dev trait only revealed at signing day?
Elite, Star, Impact and Normal
Looks exactly like Barry sanders in the thumbnail
what are 2 top 5 recruiting classes how i do that im actually confused
At the end of the two separate seasons, you need to have your recruiting class in the top 5.
Am I the only person with an issue that sometimes when I level up I don't get my coaching points??
How is recruiting hard when Bordeaux got a 5 star and 4 fours with kenessaw state
yes but how many players did he get total in class. i saw one where guy got 1 5 star and 4 four stars, but ended with only 10 players or so roughly.
If you only went after like 5 guys total I could see that happening…plus I’ve heard there’s a patch coming to make recruiting harder

When will the patch coming?@@C4TH-cam
Can you edit generic recruits at all?
I’m wondering the same thing
It’s re-sources. Not reeezorzez.
