I was down at Strasburg for the merit badge class at the railroad museum and found the same problem. We pulled into the lumber yard unsuspecting and were instantly turned around by an Amtrak copper. What I don't understand is why it was suddenly a problem. Amtrak and Strasburg did nothing during the high volume weekends, but turned Leaman Place into Fort Knox for Saturday. Great video nonetheless.
Colebrookdale Railfan Productions LOL. We make that reference in my family all of the time (Fort Knox). Yeah I’m not sure either. I pulled into Paradise and was told it was closed and only available for ticket holders. Which I was confused about because I don’t believe it was that way last weekend. Oh well, it was sad, but at least I was able to attend the photo charter. Supposedly a farmer’s crops got stomped down, but I don’t know. Thank you!
@@MPT_Productions oh my mistake there's actually nothing wrong with that railroad it seems like a great railroad. But if it ends up getting sold off I hope that it finds a good home. And sorry about that I've never herd or this railroad before.
This brings back fond memories of the 44 toner that ran through our town while growing up.

Was that during 611’s time there? I think maybe Amtrak had extra police patrols on the other side of the Amtrak tracks where the lumberyard is.
😍😍
:D
That poor ge 44 tonner center cab I hope it finds a good home
734 is a 65 tonner. Also, what is wrong with its current home? The WK&S is a great railroad.

@@giggles7104 It is ok. The locomotive will never get sold, it is the railroad's pride and joy while there is no steam.
@@MPT_Productions sad to hear that there is no steam :( are they working on getting it back?
USS45RailFanProductions yes. Work is progressing whenever time permits and there is enough money. It’s all volunteer
