Strasburg Rail Road 89: Haunting Banshee for Halloween
In 2024, during the month of October, the Strasburg Rail Road decided to use the infamous Pennsylvania Railroad Banshee whistle on locomotive 89. The whistle has been used on the locomotive numerous times over the years. The use of the whistle was aptly timed as the it matched the sounds associated with the Halloween season.
So sit back, relax, and enjoy the haunting sounds of the PRR Banshee heard on Strasburg Rail Road 89 on a beautiful October day.
