The only fly fishing I do is for tarpon and very occainionsly. Bonefish in the Keys. But it is challenging and not quite what most anglers really do which makes it so different. Good to see something not so common😎
Justin, your dad and I would catch redfish and snook at night in Tampa bay in ankle deep water. On a full moon you could see their backs out of the water. I think my biggest one was 34 inches.

Watching you on my TV currently but came on my phone to see if you would come to Panama city sometime. So u can catch massive fish off of out dam. It's where freshwater from the rivers and springs upstate meet the bay area in the near the gulf of Mexico. Literally can't keep a shrimp on the hook. Mangroves troutd reds blacke sheesps even bass crappie and bluegill.

@25:05, 16lbs FC leader is what you would use for Permit and they certainly fight harder than a Redfish of similar weight.

It’s just a fly you can find in any saltwater fly shop. Anything brown and shrimp with some lead eyes will work fine.

Question for the 5 inch and 8 inch nlbn baits what size rod and reel are you using cause I have 6000 reel but I feel like that is overboard and heavy to fish with all day pitching so I went with something smaller and yep didn’t work … hellllppp
A 5500 Penn Spinfisher is what I use for bigger snook. It just depends on what size fish you’re likely to catch.
