    Nice video, we should film more when we get into these situations but usually they are to intense to dig out the cameras.

      Yes…we can relate to that. Ruth’s getting pretty good at multitasking with the iPhone in one hand and spotting me with the other. I mentioned in another reply that we do actually have video of everything with the Lorex 360 cameras and our dashcam…but that’s the problem…it’s of EVERYTHING and just takes too much time to dig through. I will practice with the dashcam archive feature on the next trip.

    Great video! This is the kind of stuff we hit in the Southwest but the pucker factor is too high to film it. We are in San Felipe right now debating on going inland like you, but we are 7 inches wider and a foot taller. Not sure we could make it through the cactus. Your videos are inspiring.

      You have a great rig for it…just have to abide by the mantra…”as slow as possible and as fast as necessary” so you don’t break stuff out in the boonies! We have been to OE flag several times but probably won’t make it this year…love it though!

    Ive been binge watching these after just finding your channel and subscribing. I have a Dodge Serro Scotty, not nearly on this level but it certainly has inspired me to improve its capability for exploration. I am in Florida but purchased my rig from Utah where the previous owner took many trips down to Baja. I dont think he went where you did though! How is fuel access out there?

      Thanks for the comment and glad you have enjoyed them. Fuel access is very good but it’s always a good idea to top it off and keep it on the full side.

    Maybe the burned hacienda was in the way of a smuggler's route and the entire family was killed and their property burn down..
    Who knows, but it sure looks like a place where tragedy happened, like the hotel from "The Shining" where Jack Nicholson stayed with his family.
    You can see that the vultures know they may get fresh flesh when they see humans around, they seem to be expecting a carnage.
    Greetings from Tamaulipas, Mexico.

      Well…hopefully it was not such a dark story as that but who knows?

    I think you need radios on spotting so the driver can hear the instructions accurately. I enjoyed your adventures.

      Yes…that’s a good idea. Thanks for the comment

      @@AnimalOverland -please tell your wife to say “Driver” to go left, and “Passenger” to go right to avoid confusion. Just a suggestion as most Offroaders would say when spotting.

      We have radios. But in this case, it would have been impossible to film, press the talk button on the radio and gesture and point, and not trip.

    A front forward-facing camera might be helpful on the trail.

    • @AnimalOverland
      @AnimalOverland  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes good observation…we have a front and rear facing dashcam and four 360 security cameras but they generate too much video and I can’t justify the time it would take to go through all that for editing…so I don’t usually. I need to start using the feature on the dashcam that allows you to archive selected video so I can just look at the video in that folder.

      @@AnimalOverland I was referring to a Live forward-facing camera that allows you to toggle between the front and rear to see the trail Live and assist you with driving your line. Google "Anytime Front Facing Camera in 5th Gen Toyota 4Runner" for an example.
