    Ben, you forgot to show the final “ritual” of shopping at a Global House. Where the Global House inspectors have to check your shopping cart with your sales receipt and stamp your invoice before you walk out the door . 😮
    btw- great selection of wall& floor tiles in your new home.

    What a great house they've built for you. Everyone has different tastes, but I can't see much that I would have differently. We've bought our land in Bohol, and the house drawings arrived today. Somehow it makes it seem more real seeing the drawings rather than just a pdf on my laptop. I'm thinking it's still four or five years away from being at the stage that yours is right now, but we're on our journey too. Can't help wishing that mine was at the stage that yours is!

      I think it’s dependant on the weather Thomas, as it’s completely solar powered. On a clear day it’s powerful though. The pool takes around 3 hours to fill and I know the dimensions, but it’s too much like a maths equation for me to consider calculating the answer 😆

      Actually the water coming into the pool is unfiltered- it’s pumped straight from the ground.

    Congratulations on completing your house.
    What are the procedures like before u can start building your dream home in Thailand.
    Like engaging a licensed architect to design the house and getting the proper permits to legally build the house with the authority approval etc etc
    Was the whole process before building works can start difficult?
    Thanks

    • @LifeinThailand777
      @LifeinThailand777  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s extremely easy TBH. We bought a house plan online for about 5000 baht and then we radically altered the internal design with the help of our builder.
      You must register your house plan with the local council and there’s a small fee to do this. I think we might have paid about 3000 baht. They’re only interested in the square footage of the build, don’t worry about telling them about every small change you make along the way. Once there are four walls built and a toilet / bathroom finished, you need to show photos of this with the council again. They will then give you an official address. Other than that, there is no planning permission etc. I hope this helps, feel free to send me an email of you have more questions. It usually takes me a long time to reply to comments on here

    • @LifeinThailand777
      @LifeinThailand777  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Ross. The whole well system was done by a local company. They located the water underground, dug the well (66 metres down I think), attached the pump down there, hooked up 3 solar panels and charged us 60,000 baht. My father in law has since had the same job done on his own farm and paid same price so it wasn’t an inflated farang price. Maybe cost a bit more further south though.
