My theory about the repackaging companies : they buy boxes and open most of them and try to map the box. Let say you open 12 packs from UDS1 or 2 box and get your 6 young guns, the odds of having another one in the 12 remaining packs are pretty thin, better just sell them in a repack like this.
You're greatly overestimating the value of the average young gun.
@@cardsAH overall, the chance of getting your money back by pulling all the hits by mapping the box plus selling what remains is still a better return than just selling the whole box in repackaging. I opened cases and cases of UD in the past few years. I know the overall value of the regular yg is low. But if you can map, you are minimizing the risk. Anyway, my theory.
You are absolutely correct with your idea, if you have the capital to make a case(s) purchase and pull the ‘case hits’ it makes sense to sell the rest of the unopened stuff.
@@gt4215 exactly. And it’s easy with some products to figure out (or at least, put most chances on your side). For example, SPGU boxes can be weighed to figure out what boxes are containing patch cards. Not a hit guarantee, but it maximises your odds of getting a pretty good pull. O pee chee platinum, i think in 19-20, i was always pulling the auto from the same place in any box. 21-22 series, the portraits were always the 3rd or 4th pack (can’t remember exactly) from every pile. 18-19 SPA, the case hit was always in the box at a specific spot in the case. That’s the main reason i never buy loose packs.

these have got to be packs that are less likley to have hits from boxes they have already pulled and took the hits.
Yo! Hockey in Alabama! I went to school in Auburn and grew up in Atlanta...playing hockey when I could. It's getting a little more popular outside the main draw areas like Tampa and Raleigh, so glad to see some collectors and enthusiasts in the area.
Personally would rather go to the store and grab a blaster than get one of these, but thats just me. Thanks for the video

Same. $40 for 7 packs is pretty much an average blaster from Walmart.
I just picked up a mystery box from target here in the US for $18 and it had the same amount of packs so yeah $40 seems pretty steep. Granted the mystery box doesn't have any hobby but it does come with at least 1 fat pack and I got a kaprizov yg and denisenko rookie threads out of it
Not the greatest value. Just seems like a way for someone to pick up retail and flip it for double or Tripple.

The worst flipping, those repackaged mystery tins with a chance at a McDavid YG, those things are $25 in store, online they are going for $80... Or more... It's absurd.

I've looked to buy one of those at my local Walmart in Northern Alberta, rural even mind you! And there is never one to be found! Not even a single box of hockey cards! Skalpers, wait and clean the store out!

I know the guy who does the packs for offside, it's all retail packs minus one pack for hobby so it's 90 percent duds nothing great

So the discount code didn't work but if you contact customer service they will put the discount on your account. Like for instance I signed up, the code didn't work. I contacted them and they are applying $5 off for the next 3 months.

17.99 usd for 7 packs with 2 being fat packs. Mostly all flagship packs with hobby mixed in..very very heavy on young guns

Bought one of these yesterday. Kopitar Gold Stockpile, Ty smith Holografx gold, Turcotte/Holtz YG CL, Caufield MVP RC. Not a bad value for 17.99. Funniest thing was the “bonus item”, a Carlo UD base card. No real need to advertise that on the packaging.

They sell on eBay for 70 dollars. Not what I would consider a big come up. And I bet if 10 boxes were bought you still wouldn't get it
@@ericcouture96 Ya Eric Couture, what UD product isn't a big gamble ? Easy Answer - They all are. You could buy a loose pack from the dollar store & hit big & you could also buy a tin of The Cup & get royally screwed. Either way it's risky & you're probably going to lose money.
