So I won’t be surprised that MPox Clade 1b arrives at our doorstep in Ontario. However, at least in Sweden they’re being vigilant. But here in Ontario? Who knows how long our broken Public Health will catch Clade 1b (the newer one who’s mortality rate is higher and more transmissible) before it gains a foothold. We haven’t even been able to reduce the numbers of the first outbreak in 2022 (Clade 2 less viralent form) ~ they went down initially but now in 2024 they’re up again.
