    • @iGPR3
      @iGPR3 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

      @@twin9ine-productions you should NEVER do this as it messes with the calibration. it acts as a stopper to stop the pedal going back any further. the thing that measures how much is pressed is calibrated at that point where the rubber stops it.
      this means if you remove it, you can push the pedal past 100% and wont have any control over it.
      if you push it halfway, where it will normally stop with the rubber, it’ll be 100% pressure, and pushing it further is still just 100% pressure, as it wasnt designed to go further.
      i did it and it ruined it, had to put it back as it was so unusable without it.

    What I did was just set deadzones in the sims I play so I dont need to floor the pedal, but still need to put in some effort to brake 100%, the bigger the deadzone the less you need to press on the pedal.
    I must say, that rubber IS a little too hard tho, maybe drilling a few holes to remove a little bit of mass and allow better deformation is the way to go

      I never heard anyone say the bullshit you've just said. This brick is literally the worst thing about G pedals. And that's why Thrustmaster T3PA are better. If you can't feel the brake, just get good, haha.

    • @lucaprado544
      @lucaprado544 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      @@Missch_1 hey man, no hard feelings but please don't be so toxic, I'm just presenting my opinion and I'm willing to hear opposed sides as long as theres respect.
      To me, the rubber brick is >somewhat< good, because it tries to simulate hydraulics, irl you dont "feel" the brake by pedal travel, you feel it by the ammount of pressure you apply to it. If you set the deadzones right, it can get pretty decent and you wont have to smash the thing to apply 100% brakes, plus if you drill a few holes into the brick to make it squishier it get much better. After a few months of use the rubber also gets softer by itself.
      In the video the dude completely removes the rubber, that would make the pedal have no increase of resistance as you brake and I cant imagine that being a upgrade at all, specially for games where precise braking is required, maybe you could replace it with a softer eraser or something similar. Obviously its up to the person, maybe he can brake 100x better without the rubber than I can with the rubber, its a matter of preference and getting used to it.
      Regardless, it is obviously not a good brake pedal, its a entry-level thing for beginners in sim racing and must be upgraded as soon as possible lol

  • @Salzmann_69
    @Salzmann_69 ปีที่แล้ว +61

    I did this day one, I couldn't get braking right for shit, just constantly smashing in to walls or locking the wheels, once I put it back it was so much better, you get used to it and as you use it it gets less strong, if its sliding around too much you may want a mount or to remove it but keep it around, you will want it later

  • @pfunkle

    Instead of physically modifying it, I just calibrated the brake pedal using windows USB game controller settings. When you calibrate the brake, push it in as far as you would comfortably while racing and braking at full force. That makes that level 100% braking force. The pedal still feels good but doesn't require F1 style braking to reach 100% braking.
    If you are racing in assetto corsa you can also just change the % activation in the settings, but I recommend calibrating using the windows USB game controller settings either way.

      @mintgoldheart6126 it's not really about stiffness even but more about TRUE brake pedal feel and fidelity. You shouldn't need a body builders leg press to achieve 100% brake force but the other 90% is like an egg shell.

    It feels much better to drill a few small holes in the rubber. It makes it softer but it still retains the feeling of having to actually apply pressure for more brakes. Removing it makes braking way too unpredictable.

  • @RyanBedecki
    @RyanBedecki 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I left my rubber in, trick is to calibrate it right so that you can get that load cell feel. I have since moved onto a DD with a loadcell but I advise not removing the rubber as you then have a super dead feeling brake.
    The trick really is to mess with your brake saturation levels and other settings to get the feel right. That rubber when tweaked correctly will give you a decent experience, without it, it is completely dead feeling.
    Edit: This applies if you have it mounted on a rig or otherwise made it sturdy enough that you can press on it relatively hard, it is meant to be pretty solid feeling so you can actually modulate your brake pressure. People tend to think it is too hard but have no experience with any other pedals.
