    My grandfather was on the team at NCR, working on this project. Of course, we didn't know that until it was declassified after 50 years. Enjoyed learning about Joe from this video!

    Can you believe that Joe had such little credit for all that he contributed to the war effort, the British seem to have all the publicity for their Bletchley Park facility.
    Come on America give Joe his due credit for his efforts. Joe Desch was truly an American hero.

      That is a nonsense. Bletchley Park clearly talks about how The United States became involved in its activities; it talks about Eastcote, one of five outstations used by the United States Army - their 6812th Signals Security Detachment had a dedicated bombe bay on site, containing 10 machines. They talk about how materiel and personnel went to the US during the war. Turing, himself went to the US between November 1942 and March 1943. The deal was that he would share everything he knew on Enigma. He visited the sites for the manufacture of bombes.
