- Back again with part 2 of god knows how many testing videos.
I combine some testing footage we took today after sorting out some of the audio files.
In this video you will see Midnight Maverick737 left seat and my neighbor Officer James testing out the new 14’ 220 FOV projection screen on P3D with full audio.
This is what you call pure dedication. Midnight Maverick737, Hadley and Shadow have continued to work hard to help get the sim back running and ready for World Flight. I’m truly honored to have such hardworking individuals on our team.
Please keep in mind there is still plenty of work that still needs to be done in the sim. We just literally upgraded the visual screen, all 3 PC’s and full galley enclosure. This video along with others are simply test videos. There are still some issues we are trying to sort out such as the soft edge blending, fov, usb inputs amongst a bunch of other things.
I ask that you please don’t ask questions pertaining to why things aren’t working. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming weeks.

Sup Greg! I mean it has its pros n cons. I like that the entire sim is cover which makes it more immersive but I do miss some of the sharper brighter more colorful images of the televisions. I have yet to do a actual flight in the sim to really judge but looking at the guys fly that’s my initial observation.
@@FlyWithRookie yea don’t forget to run msfs2020 first with the projectors cause I’d think it would look nicer. But the multiple tv support looks sweet with p3d

how do you have your cockpit look to natural light wise sometimes? is it really just the screen bightness
at the start of the video you had some ambience of the passnegers in the backround how did you get that audio to play evertime your preparing for departure?

Hey; In your msfs video you use the same cockpit but FDS says that their modules are not compatible with msfs even when I contacted them. Is this true?
Hi you asked me this in my discord and I answered you. I don’t know what FDS told you but yes my sim is from FDS and yes I run MSFS 2020.

David has a real good explanation on cost. I’m not saying mines cost more or less than his but you can get a general starting point. The biggest issues with these sim is not every one buys the same exact parts from the same exact manufacture. Cost really depends on the depth you want to go. In this video you can get a ball park figure of potential cost. Start the video at 12:10 it’s about 3/4 mins of information.

Hey, ya sure. I picked up 3 of the Optoma - GT1080HDR Short Throw Projector with Enhanced Gaming Mode for 1080p 120Hz, Support for 4K Input.

Very nice. My biggest question is how do you get MSFS to feel good? Its a terrible SIM in the sense it feels absolutely nothing like IRL and the physics are not that great. Really interested in how you got it feeling good in such an impressive sim setup. Thanks!

Where did you get the compass? I swear I saw a usb compass that could interface with MSFS2020 online somewhere and now that I’m ready to build my sim I can’t find any
I use Prosim to make the wet compass functional. It’s 3D printed with a small 2.5” screen

Just curious as to why you set your initial speed on the MCP at 230? I thought it would have just been V2 speed?

I think your view angle is a little stretched on the sides. Unless your doing it to save on performance.
Ya unfortunately it’s MSFS2020 there is no way around this 😫. Performance is OK it’s running i9 12900k 3090 FTW3 1300watt powers supply

No im actually still using KLM 🤫🫢. But I’m not worried I don’t go outside view. There is info on how to get it on their wiki I believe.
