    Hello!
    Thank you for your useful information. I went to an F1 visa appointment once and my documents were clear without any issue, I had a fully funded master's position from a qualified university and I didn't have relatives in the US and my case was safe. The officer asked me the same question and I wanted to reply with this strategy but the officer interrupted me as she was seeking a one-sentence reply and even didn't check my CV or my professor's CV or my research plan at the end I got rejected by 214b band. I was wondering if you could help me with what I did wrong! :) and how long should our answers be?

      Typically the US Visa officers are concerned with your US plans. If the topic of your previous study comes up, be prepared to speak to why you abandoned your plans.
      The Visa Officer may hesitate in granting you a visa due to the increased risk of you repeating what you did previously. Make sure you to communicate the intent of completing your studies and departing the US.

    I have a visa interview in july.
    If the visa officer asks me if I have any relatives in the US what should my answer be? Because my brother lives in New York but his not funding for my school and our relationship is estranged.
    Please answer

      You should answer that your brother lives in the US. No need to get into any additional details. Having a sibling does not negatively affect your visa chances.

    I have one more question , Do you think pathway programs lower chances of getting visa for undergraduate students ?

    • @greencardEZ
      @greencardEZ  ปีที่แล้ว

      Can you be bit more specific. Any particular program that you’re referring to?

      @@greencardEZ I’m and undergraduate student and i applied for bs computer science. My toefl score is 76 and the requirement for that college and program is 79 . My academics matched the requirements for that program but my toefl score didn’t so my college accepted through conditional acceptance i.e. pathway program in which I’ve to study ESL for one year along with my Course.

      Keep it program focused more than country focused. When you speak to the specifics of the program, then you’re effectively communicating that the program is the right fit for you.
