  • ALLUVIAL GOLD PROSPECTING - HOW TO FIND A LEAD OR A RIBBON OF GOLD IN A DRY CREEK
    In this Video I demonstrate the method I use to find a Lead or Ribbon of Gold in a Dry Creek Bed. I demonstrate a systematic and logical STEP-BY- STEP method, which if adhered to will identify any Concentration of Gold that is present. Once the Lead if found, then it can be followed.

    You are the first person who is actually making sense as far the gold prospecting goes because I see so many videos where people actually waste hours and hours going through buckets and buckets of dirt to produce only nonsense amount of gold e.g. few colors in a pan that is not worth their time and effort but they brag about it as if they found tons of ounces gold. In reality just fraction of a gram. Such a waste of precious time. They say they do it for fun but why don’t they have fun at the right places and get rewarded for it too.

    I'm about to get out this year and try a bit of prospecting (1st time) , one morsel of gold is good enough for me. After all I live in NW England, not quite the Outback or the Klondike. I have enjoyed watching hours of this stuff on youtube, but this particular video rocks, awesome bro, great video.

    Impressive work, Bloke! Thank you for distributing that vid ! Lost track of how many times I watched it over the last month! Is there any reason you didn't show actually cleaning off the shale bedrock, other than that it's painstaking and time consuming? Also, is that "mallow" as you call it, a local phenomenon in that area, or do you find it most places on clay?

      My pleasure mate. I would suggest getting a simple river sluice first ( a Keen A51A Mini Sluice is good ) before graduating to a highbanker. Get the hang of sluicing and learn the dynamics ..this will help you decide what sort of Highbanker you want. I am a riffle man..not really a fan of mats.. Regards Aussie

    That works!!! But son, your slower than "lasses" in winter ;) An old timer would have marked that streak out from the top! There exists a metal detector by Tessoro called a "Metal Box ElDorado" from the 80's. It has 2 (count 'em 2) 10 turn pots in the ground balance section! Precise squared!! Properly set it can tell you the exact inch black sand increases and decreases across that creek!!!! You could have laid that streak out in a couple of minutes from the top ;) We crumudgeons are old, we cheat LOL!.

    • @AussieBlokeProspector
      @AussieBlokeProspector  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not about being easier..it's about economy for effort. A brush is too soft to remove unwanted over burden. If I used a brush to remove overburden, then I would have way too much dirt too sample, and my samples would not be true relections of what the gold is doing. Regards Aussie

    Why can I not find info on panning in west oz? Seems no one does it.

    • @AussieBlokeProspector
      @AussieBlokeProspector  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably because WA is primarily Detecting country. I have heard of a few blokes getting outstanding results panning in WA, but mostly up north in the Pilbara and Halls Creek areas. Last year there was a lot of water about and I took the opportunity to pan lots of creeks in the Murchison Goldfield. In many of them there were detecting holes on both sides, right up to the banks, but I found in nearly all of them there was a conspicuous absence of fine gold... however I did pan up 2 half gram nuggets. Yes it is actually a great opportunity to get to the gold you can’t get to while the water is running.
