In this Video I demonstrate the method I use to find a Lead or Ribbon of Gold in a Dry Creek Bed. I demonstrate a systematic and logical STEP-BY- STEP method, which if adhered to will identify any Concentration of Gold that is present. Once the Lead if found, then it can be followed.

2 years of watching thousands of videos and i must totally agree with the other folks conclusions.THE VERY BEST VIDEO EXPLAINING THIS TOPIC I HAVE SEEN TO DATE!!!!!!.thanks for sharing it with us.
You're welcome and Wow... thanks for such a huge thumbs up. Good to know I'm getting it right. Regards Aussie
Great video bro..its on my bucket list to find just one flake of gold..could be a lengthy jobby in NW England though
You are the first person who is actually making sense as far the gold prospecting goes because I see so many videos where people actually waste hours and hours going through buckets and buckets of dirt to produce only nonsense amount of gold e.g. few colors in a pan that is not worth their time and effort but they brag about it as if they found tons of ounces gold. In reality just fraction of a gram. Such a waste of precious time. They say they do it for fun but why don’t they have fun at the right places and get rewarded for it too.
Yep... It's all about economy for effort. Regards Aussie
Best video ever without the BS - well done and thanks

I'm about to get out this year and try a bit of prospecting (1st time) , one morsel of gold is good enough for me. After all I live in NW England, not quite the Outback or the Klondike. Cheers mate. Great to hear such good feedback and to hear you are taking it all in. I actually prefer to work dry creeks and deliberately go to certain spots when it is the driest time of year. Usually do a lot better than running creeks. Good luck out there mate. Regards Aussie.

Good info. If you look at the size of alluvial rock increasing in size with more colors. It tells you, if it can drop big rocks. It will drop the gold.
Cheers mate. Regards Aussie
you rock!!
Cheers
Great instructional vid mate, obviously there are a lot of variables such as uneven bottom etc but awesome start for anyone wanting to find concentrated gold!!
Thanks mate. All the best. Regards Aussie

Mate any tips what area your in I would love to do that your the best prospector I've seen by the way thanks for your knowledge your the master any chance of area I'm born in Newcastle just got a highbanker havnt found any gold yet that's look unreal that spot any way good luck
I don't mention Locations as I'm sure you can understand. You can do this on most dry creeks. Watch my video on How to find Gold Locations in NSW th-cam.com/video/V6xjZtbR5Ug/w-d-xo.html and you will soon discover there are many such areas in NSW. Good Luck
Impressive work, Bloke! Thank you for distributing that vid ! Lost track of how many times I watched it over the last month! Is there any reason you didn't show actually cleaning off the shale bedrock, other than that it's painstaking and time consuming? Also, is that "mallow" as you call it, a local phenomenon in that area, or do you find it most places on clay?
You are welcome mate. Time. Mallow is a generic term and can be applied to the "Good Wash" in any location. Regards Aussie
Fantastic educational video. Best I've seen so far. I just subscribed. Grab a pair of gloves, my hands hurt just watching you.
Thanks for the feedback mate. I do use gloves sometimes. Regards Aussie
Thanks heaps for the education. I really enjoy the vids. If you where a newbie what high banker and mats would you be getting? I live around the hinterland on the Sunshine Coast and the wife owes me a good chrissy and b'day pressie. I've looked at a few but the internet seems too full of over inflated reputation. 🍺
My pleasure mate. I would suggest getting a simple river sluice first ( a Keen A51A Mini Sluice is good ) before graduating to a highbanker. Get the hang of sluicing and learn the dynamics ..this will help you decide what sort of Highbanker you want. I am a riffle man..not really a fan of mats.. Regards Aussie
Thanks Aussie. Appreciate your time to answer. Great info and I'll show you some of the future finds. 🍻
Best video I have seen on sampling a dry creek! Got to try this! Thanks!!
Jack
Cheers mate. If you already know of a good spot, then wait till it is as dry as it can get. You'll might be surprised how much gold there will be there. Good Luck. Regards Aussie
That works!!! But son, your slower than "lasses" in winter ;) An old timer would have marked that streak out from the top! There exists a metal detector by Tessoro called a "Metal Box ElDorado" from the 80's. It has 2 (count 'em 2) 10 turn pots in the ground balance section! Precise squared!! Properly set it can tell you the exact inch black sand increases and decreases across that creek!!!! You could have laid that streak out in a couple of minutes from the top ;) We crumudgeons are old, we cheat LOL!.
mint vid can we see the gold as you go
Thanks. This vid was really to show technique, but if you want to see some gold watch this one...th-cam.com/video/q0oFkyvGQKk/w-d-xo.html. Regards Aussie
Could you use brush instead of the scraper? Is that maybe easier?
It's not about being easier..it's about economy for effort. A brush is too soft to remove unwanted over burden. If I used a brush to remove overburden, then I would have way too much dirt too sample, and my samples would not be true relections of what the gold is doing. Regards Aussie
🤠Let's just bulldozer the whole creek!💰🇺🇲👍
while u were scraping the bottom i could see a picker just sitting there ...look at the footage at 3:55 , u will see just to the left of the rock near yr hand
Damn, missed that. Lol. Regards Aussie
@@AussieBlokeProspector have u watched the video and spotted it ?
Why can I not find info on panning in west oz? Seems no one does it.
Probably because WA is primarily Detecting country. I have heard of a few blokes getting outstanding results panning in WA, but mostly up north in the Pilbara and Halls Creek areas. Last year there was a lot of water about and I took the opportunity to pan lots of creeks in the Murchison Goldfield. In many of them there were detecting holes on both sides, right up to the banks, but I found in nearly all of them there was a conspicuous absence of fine gold... however I did pan up 2 half gram nuggets. Regards Aussie.
Aussie Bloke Prospector thanks mate much appreciated, I'm not to far from boddington gold mine but still only found a few specks 😑
Golf Cheating cool, I have panned a few specks out north dandalup way near an old mill 😊 might be worth a go if have a sluice.
In an earlier comment you wont give location. Now you have removed 1/2 the state as a possibility. Just saying :)
++ Nice info in the video - thanks.
Jesus a lot of patience with that one John, how long did it take to compile that ribbon effort? .... how much gold did you eventually lift?
Quite a few Days. Ended up with close to half an ounce.
Well that's not too bad at all!
Did you pan the lot? Or use other methods too?
The old timers called it Mallow... Is that the correct spelling?
god trck
Central west New South Wales lmao my god that just sounds funny
I know right
Why would that sound funny. ? Your not going to find it in the city are you.
Do those ants bite?
Sometimes
Yea it is not because the creek is dry there is no gold
?????????????
I always watch prospectors panning for gold in rivers where water is flowing but not yet see prospecting gold in a river where there is no water and here is my first one.And it is not because there is no water, gold prospecting should stop, there is still gold here.
Yes it is actually a great opportunity to get to the gold you can’t get to while the water is running.
