Hi everyone! We’re here today for @AishusCraftyKidsClub‘s Father’s Day Collaboration! I tried making coasters and I’m struggling with the blowout on such small tiles and getting them to match. I’ll be practicing more in the coming weeks to try to get these down.

COLORS:
Amsterdam - Copper (cell activator)
Tri-Art Liquid - Cerulean Blue
Tri-Art Liquid - Golden Yellow
Tri-Art Liquid - Warm White
This Little Piggy - Billabong
This Little Piggy - Zeus
PILLOW PAINT - PPG Multi-Pro Interior Eggshell White (47-3110)
POUR MEDIUM - 35 grams BEHR 3300 + 70 grams Polyurethane Triple Thick Water Based Semi-Gloss
*Tube Paints - add a small amount of paint to PM until you get desired color. To thin use JoSonja Gloss Varnish mixed with water (3:1 ratio).
*Pigments - disperse in JoSonja Gloss Varnish then add small amounts of PM at a time and mix. Use BEHR 3300 to thicken, if needed
SHELEE ART CELL ACTIVATOR - 4 grams paint + 12 grams Australian Floetrol

This is the magic of the coasters, everyone ist different, but you know they belong together, I thinks this depend on your blows, but they are so beautiful
Yea, I agree about the blows. Much different trying to blow out a little tile than a larger board.

Ocd much my friend. 😂😂😂😂❤ they will never match. They aren't supposed to be exactly the same. That is what makes them unique. If you have the same colors they just work. I think they turned out gorgeous. Love them my dear friend. I'm sure your dad would too. Especially because they came from the heart ♥ ♥ ♥

Each is a small work of art on its own. The colours are enough to unite them. If they all matched, there would be no individuality, and they may as well be identical prints. These coasters are beautiful. 😻

Fyi i love the coasters just from the blows - sort of a flower pattern, before the spin. I agree with other posts - u dont want them to be mstchy matchy - the colors are there so they do compliment each other beautifully. Beautiful...

The darn Pleatlympics are taking all my free time 😂 I tried again the next day and I’m much happier with them. I think getting the blow down on such little tiles is what I need to work on

These coasters are gorgeous!!! I have the same issues as you explained. If I really like the coaster but don’t feel like I have a set, I keep the good ones for a sort of “open stock” offering. The ones that I don’t like as much and don’t match up, I repour. Keep on with it because they are gorgeous and it will no doubt all come together!!! ❤
That’s a good idea for the non matching ones - to seek them as singles. I did another set and I’m happier with them, but it’s definitely something I need to practice. I got too used to the 8” boards 😂

I too will redo a coaster sometimes 2x! However I have worked on letting go & remember these are hand made original works of art.😊 As long as the same colors are represented I'm happy! (Most of the time😅 I think your colors are beautiful & I liked them.

They're beautiful 😍 But I see the same thing you see. 2 on the left belong together, the 2 on the right each need their own separate set 😂 Easy peasy remedy, just keep painting more coasters using those colors, eventually you'll get full sets of 4 or 5 😜💕

That’s a good way to look at it. Someone suggested selling the non matching as singles that people can pick and choose from so I might do that

I did 4 recently. One definitely didn't go with the others, so i understand ur ocd lol i hv it too! 😅😂❤i repoured and luckily the next one matched. Ish! They dont need to be perfect and urs are stunning! All the same colours are visible 😍Replicating the same abount if coloyrs and blow is hard! But i want more of these pls 🥰😍 im watching after the kids fell asleep in hotel roo. 😂

I love these. It’s my belief that coasters should be unique. They are grouped by a color theme, but they shouldn’t match perfectly. I don’t know if it’s even possible considering everything we do is a one-of-a-kind original. I like that there is always a stand out that looks nothing like the others in the set. It’s the most unique. I’ve seen in stores and on Amazon coaster sets where each coaster is printed with a different picture yet are connected by a theme. I have a set that has a whale, a starfish, a dolphin, and a sea turtle.
