There are going to be a good amount of characters who unfortunately will not become playable characters in Smash.
But it's still interesting to think about what kind of move sets these characters can have if they were playable, so that's why I'm here today.

I think I read somewhere that Bomberman was initially planned to be a playable character in Ultimate, but got demoted to an assist trophy because they had trouble implementing a moveset for him. Don't know if that's true or not though.

Wow, I'm glad I got my moveset video for him done last week. We actually shared a number of the same ideas and their main purpose, just used a little differently. You even had it to the exact animation he would have for a down tilt. Kudos to you on that. The main difference between ours is the implementation of the Elemental Bombs. I actually put them in as the Smash attacks. Very well done.

Post-Premier Edit: I was sad it wasn’t a Megaman character but holy fuck this sounds so fun because of all the opportunities to just fucking clown on people. Like imagine just punching a bomb at someone and blasting them off stage, and when they try to jump back, you jump up, spawn a wind bomb, kick it at them, and detonate it in their face.

I recently found out that monster rancher 2 had a port to the switch, and it got me thinking, What if there was a monster rancher rep in smash. Monster rancher was originally on the ps1, and could be considered as one of the big 3 collectable monster series, being pokemon, digimon, and the game in mention, monster rancher. I feel like with the variety of monsters available, it would most likely make sence to have the rancher represent a good chunk of these, almost resembling pokemon trainer. I feel like 3 of the monsters that are of note are zuum, a raptor type dragon creature, suezo a 1 eyed creature that moves around using its tail, and mochi, the mascot monster of the series. All of the monsters in the game have plenty of material to create a moveset, and something that would make for an interesting mechanic is that the moves that the monster would use would depend on the range from the opponent, and the guts level of the monster. The higher the guts, the more powerful the move, and moves also use up guts. For the monster rancher rep's down B, it would swap the move that is inside of a specified distance slot for another move, similar to the original game. neutral b would use the currently selected move, depending on the distance from the opponent. Side b would be a knockback move that if close enough to the opponent would knock them back, and in this case give them a stun effect. It can be used as a type of non damage counter. At the moment, I can't think of a type of general recovery, but depending on the monster, it could be interesting. reskins are easy, as since monster rancher has a fusion mechanic, the reskins are already prebuilt into the game. as far as a stage goes, I think the stage should be monster rancher 2's stadium in all of its glory.

YES! The robot from set 2 should be his final smash!
So here is my idea for bomberman’s final smash, normally it would be the power bomb if you charged it half way, but if you charge it more than that, bomberman will place it down and start shaking a second bomb, and if the final smash ends when it’s half charge or above, bomberman will throw that bomb at the power bomb before leaving, and the two will fuse into a dangerous bomb, the most powerful bomb in the bomberman series, with a skull on it, and at max charge it’s double size, with the same range and damage you stated if at max charge with it being half if it’s just a power bomb, and has half the range but still high damage, maybe like 100 if at half and 150 if full charged. So it does 50% with average range and gains 10% damage every half second, and doubles its size every 2.5 seconds, dealing 150% damage, having a huge range, and being quadruple of the size it started at.

How about a special guardian that can turn into skywatcher scout turret and stalker scout being it default form
The down special would be like pokemon trainers down special
Turret would have tank treads for movement
Skywatcher would float above the ground
Stalker and scout would be able to crouch and wall jump

I do have one problem with this moveset, and it's you're pretty much using entirely stuff from Bomberman Generations - a good game, yes, but that's ignoring other games and things that could be used like Rooey/Louie from Bomberman '94/Mega Bomberman and Later or the various abilities from Bomberman Hero (the windup punch is a reach) - heck there are even other elemental bombs in Bomberman 64: Second Attack...
Since you did Hudson's Golden Boy Bomberman, I'll suggest something related -- Bonk and Master Higgins, two of Hudson's other famous mascots.
