Fuel Sender Replacement in 1930 Ford Model A

Watch me replace the fuel gauge in a Ford Model A Tudor.
How did I know I needed to replace the gauge? After fueling the vehicle for the first time since 1956, the gauge registered just fine, however, two days later the tank showed empty. Of course, you fear the worst: "I've got a leaking tank!" However, after "dipping" the tank with a clean paint stirrer showed I had a full tank. Chalk this up to another casualty of Ethanol Gas (E85) .

I agree. Much better showing all the gaskets. I broke the old glass getting it out which was ok because the kit I bought came with a new glass. Gasoline pouring into the engine compartment while driving is s bit stressful.

Good info and demonstration of how to rebuild the Gas Gauge (fuel sender?) but the video is a bit wonky and the last 1:30 of the video is missing.

Thank you. I'm certainly not a natural and definitely need to learn which way to orient the camera. Good thing is, there's plenty of projects to get better with!
