that attack at 4:20 tripped me up so many times. where he stands a mace type weapon above his head and then slams it on the ground. If you're standing right behind him when he does that, it will still hit you for whatever reason. you can't be anywhere near him when he does that move.
The platforming to get to Time legit kills me if I use the Parasol. But Manic Monday and Broken Bones are so busted that I grab the Death Burger in the Break Room and get walloped by minioms that deal no damage to boost it. Beat Life twice this way, super beneficial.
After 60 hours i killed the boss in the easy mode and even this was a hell of pain. Now the story CONTINUES and i am still hooked af. Maybe some day, i will beat the game in normal 😅
So close!! The Modern Warfare Department is the best way to farm damage. Just get hit by the crows with a decent defense or a healing build. Good luck!!
a bit of defense and "Manic Monday" , i just sat around taking 1 damage until i got my attack to 600-800, enemies died 1-hit and bosses were going down in 2 seconds. that was the only time i managed to beat Life, and pretty easy tbh, broken build for sure!
I got both the +1 dmg and +1 hp when retaliate. When I got a temp defense buff, I would just go to those crawly hand traps and let them hit me. You gain HP basically at that point, and your damage increases, and you can stand there for the duration of the buff. It's almost a patchable exploit but idk, still didn't make my first win.
My first win was a cloak build with a bow for distance and another skill I didn't use, but I got 10 armor for using my cloak. The only thing that hurt me was explosions and bosses.
Every time I do this when I get my damage over 500 per hit when I grab a healing item the game automatically just kills me has this happened to anyone else or any ideas why it’s happening I was about to beat time when it happened pretty annoying I’m just trying to beat life
I've passed the game when it came out and after that I replayed it after a year or something and I was very upset when I found out they nerfed the natural disasters department. They shouldn't have done that.
Oh nooooooo, you skiped "periodical gets an anima". brother you skip your free win. you could heal you that much even with yellow anima gets you 100% heal + reteliate +1 damage = win.... v_v that sad
Hey Paul, I just bought this game today and I really don't understand Joe's shop. When you purchase something, what does that do? I have found spells in a run when I had not yet bought it from his shop. Thank you for the helpful vids.
Purchasing from Joe's shop unlocks the item for future runs. It can be very helpful to purchase something from Joe, then immediately go to Jocelyn and one of her contracts should have the new item for you to equip.

Holy moly lmao! I remember getting this curse, and I had a defense that made the skeleton hands do no damage... So I sat there, for an hour.

Yeah, that is the way to go for sure! You could also get the one that gives you 1 health on retaliate. That would be pretty nuts

Why do branches specify color curses? I mean can’t you upgrade any tree at any time no matter which paths you take?
You'll get an extra option of the color curse with what path you take. (Ie. Red path extra red option)

Beat C. Imamura in the Natural Disasters Department to unlock Billhooks, then defeat 100 Sorrows or raise 2500 Ingots to purchase.
