WOW, I was shocked that this was up on my youtube page when i opened it. Very cool. i watched the other video not all that long ago when i was looking for some DCAM videos.
Yeah, I started back flying, every now and then, a few weeks ago. I remembered I had a gopro in the car and figured I'd get some video of 'something' and this seemed like a likely suspect.
Thanks! The original intent was for it to carry three smaller wings, one up top, two underneath. I think Dennis already built the release cradles for them... but we were never able to make it happen.
If I had a dollar for every time someone said "You can carry a small dog/cat/child in that plane" back in the days when I flew RC, I would have a few more dollars today ha ha. I seriously doubt the parents of the child or child services would look kindly at putting a child in an RC plane and neither should any animal lovers or decent people ha ha. If you want something to carry someone, human or animal, make it big enough to carry yourself ha ha. I know you're joking, I just had to mention you're not alone in your comment.
Unfortunately, no. I supplied the initial idea and the foam, motor and ESC, Colton designed it, adding retracts, and Dennis nailed the actual build. All I can say for sure is that it breaks down into three pieces, held with nylon 1/4"x20 bolts, and it has a carbon fiber wing tube from a 78" extra for stiffness. It's a very sweet flying wing.
That is damn impressive! Well done!
That thing is kick ass. I hope to see it in person soon. 💪

Wish I had a runway. Look at that glide angle! It is a great rc plane.
I wish I had a flying field!!!
That thing could carry a small child! Great video!

I'm more impressed by the weather....Weather that good shouldn't be allowed....🤔😳😏🇬🇧
This field is often plagued by all sorts of wind 'weirdness' but it was a truly gorgeous day last Saturday for sure.
I just realized there's a nice 4-point roll @7:32 which is about as good as you can get one on a wing. 😁
Mega wing! Starting my own large wing build rn. Just kinda using what I've got laying around . Do you have a breakdown of your build?
