Today I learned that I grew up playing a knockoff flash version of bomberman when I was in elementary school! XD It was called playing with fire and you can still find it of you look hard enough.
to me the modern version of this theme has just always been 'the' bomberman theme, and i thought it was just kind of introduced as it is during the 2000s and stuck, but the fact it's an evolved version of a theme that was there even back in the NES era of bomberman and hearing how it progressed and eventually became a longer and more complete sounding track is really satisfying, and it gives me a lot more appreciation for a track i already really liked i do actually like the specific version of it from N-Gage onwards best which is when they somewhat dropped the original theme, but i feel like it's just remixed in there in a more subtle way - you can still hear some of the progressions from the oldest version throughout, it just feels like the classic theme got sneakily repurposed into a fresh melody, and i really love that and how it turned out _(Net de Bomberman is definitely my favorite specific version, it just sounds so good and clean while keeping the best parts of the N-Gage melody that i think are kind of lost in all the ones after that, like the upbeat part of the background melody during the latter half)_ it's also just neat hearing the different styles adopted in the series' music over time through this, in a small way: i've listened to some of the Bomberman Hero ost casually quite a bit, and i feel like i can hear a lot of traces of the same kind of smooth instrumentation and vibe of that game's music during Saturn Bomberman's battle theme. It's super cool to me to listen through something like a series' music and hear 'the era' in ways like that the evolution of this theme was really neat to hear and learn about in a way i wasn't expecting, thank you for compiling the different iterations and uploading them like this !

@@Imirui if i put in every battle theme from super 2 i would have to put in every battle theme from EVERY bomberman game, which would be incredibly tedious since there are a million spinoffs and it would also inflate the video length by a million hours. it's easier to just make a video of the reoccurence of one particular tune (and i think it sounds better)
