Don't worry about the the haters the g3c was my very first gun and I had 15 round 17 round and 32 round extended magazines shot over 500 rounds through that gun never had a single mishap and I kept the 17 round mag in it at all times

It's actually preferable to have the light longer than the barrel!!! If attacked by a person or animal, you push the barrel against attacker! The slide will not recycle after the first shot and won't refire!!! With the longer light, it will allow the slide to refire!!!

Is it the clothing or fur that stopping the slide from springing back? Is it wedging the in-between the lower and barrel? Furthermore a comp is a extention to the barrel and keeping anything away from the lower

Well, Glock is a better gun. It only jams when you limp wrist it. If you learn how to properly shoot, it doesn't jam. It's an added safety feature. Taurus is fine for the price but there are much better guns.
