Home made bldc controller 3wire system (type-4)

  • It is a home made 3 wire bldc controller and it has full bridge mosfet drive
    In bottom side 3 irf 44n (n channel) mosfet are used and topside irf9540 (p channel)mosfet are used
    Here a variable single phase generated pulse is converted to 3 phase signal by using 4017 ic and it send to power mosfet driver and than the output is feed to bldc motor
    Here i am using home bldc motor which #magnet has
    6 st -pole and 8 -rot poles.

    Dear Pugals Tech, love your work and the simplicity of the ESC! I would love to replicate this simple but great circuit. Would you be so kind as to share the complete circuit diagram with us? I have also being toying with 3ph motors but dont want to use andrino or other complicated digital circuits. This what you have designed looks just what I need to run my little motor. Hope to hear from you.

    Good work, but also check the temperature of mosfet, because the controller failure rate increases with raise of temperature.

      I have used heatsink and test mosfer temp is normal ok
      It consume 1amps at max speed

    It seems BLDCs are not designed to run on function generators. We should put Neodymium magnet on Induction Squirrel Cage and run with function generator. Will that work?

      Generally we connect the bottom 'n' channel mosfet drain to 'p' channel mosfet source
      HERE i have connected drain to drain and gates are parallel ok
      Here the circuit is working good sir

      Yes possible ,just change any two motor leads
