Shazam told me the name of this song and my dad told me he knew it but he didn't know, like me. Then I started looking for old memories and I found a video where I used to attend kindergarten and we sang this song in an Italian version. I haven't heard this song for 15 years but I still had it deep inside my body, it was part of me and it touched me when I was a little kid. Glad I found this again

I have loved The Ark since they won Melodifestivalen in 2007 with The Worrying Kind. I was 7 years old and I was completely obsessed, so my parents got me their new album for my birthday haha. I know all those songs by heart, but this song (not on that album) will always be my favourite! I completely understand people who prefer Omar's version cause his voice is probably easier to listen to since it's more smooth and not as harsh as Ola's. But although I love Omar's version, the original will always be superior to me, cause Ola really sings it from his heart and he wrote it from his own experience. I also think the very long build up in energy towards the end break down ("Take it to the stage!") is a very big part of what makes this song so epic, and that isn't included in Omar's more poppy/80's inspired version :)

In my opinion, Ola Salo is one of Sweden's greatest male vocalists. Also a great songwriter and lyricists. He has a unique way of writing lyrics and this is one of his greatest moments. What is normal, really? Be an individual, not a sheep.

Nel 2000 ero appena nato, ma questa canzone spopolò per anni e mi ricorda di quando andavo all'asilo ed eravamo tutti insieme in famiglia, con le mie sorelle e i miei genitori. Ora siamo tutti lontani e mi manca la mia infanzia. Pezzo fantastico comunque!

estate 2001. il mondo doveva ancora esplodere e il ricordo di questo pezzo è fortissimo. mia figlia fece praticamente sciogliere il cd. aveva 6 anni.
Questa song è un capolavoro senza tempo.. non capisco davvero come mai abbia così poche visualizzazioni e come mai sia ricordata ed apprezzata per lo più da italiani... forse perchè siamo davvero i più frustrati ? o forse perchè sappiamo riconoscere ed apprezzare la bellezza? comunque incredibile come questa band si sia eclissata totalmente dopo aver emesso un bagliore accecante..

In my opinion, Ola Salo is one of Sweden's greatest male vocalists. Also a great songwriter and lyricists. He has a unique way of writing lyrics and this is one of his greatest moments. What is normal, really? Be an individual, not a sheep.
I used to listen to this song back when I was a teenager but when I lost my PC I lost all my music. Like a month ago I saw Der Samurai at a movie festival and when this played at the end of the movie I even jumped from my seat to sing along! ♥
