Missed the live but thoroughly enjoyed watching you two sewing together. Loved the PP etc, had a good laugh with you ❤❤❤❤ Watching you from Australia 🇦🇺
I went to buy those pins and everybody’s out of stock with them. I also like that you sew with a Dukie. The only thing I hate about it mine is threading it and even bought a new needle threader and it’s still act stupid. I love my machine so much that I’m putting up with this issue of threading. Thank you for a wonderful presentation both of you.
I made this quilt for my granddaughter as she has it hanging in her bedroom. Every time I look at it I smile. The horn was the most challenging but I did get it done. The rest went together very quickly!
I put a 3M hook on my rulers, especially small square ones, metal flat rulers and my quarter seam one …. Will keep your fingers up out of the way, gives you a handle and better control …a grippy dot on the bottom of the ruler helps too 🤗
I was so excited to see you doing Lisa! I sewed only 1 block and made it into a large floor pillow for my grandaughter ! It was such fun to do and she adores it!
The cutting was a little tedious, but honestly - worth it! I’m so pleased with how it came out that I’m considering doing another one, but making it mirror image!
Design Wall: My former sewing space had a small wall with family photos on it. I purchased a piece of head liner ( fabric on the inside roof of your car) from Joann's to fit the space. I put industrial Velcro on the back of it and on the wall below my ceiling. I attached a length of fabric to the back of it on either side. I put the liner on the wall velcro and let it hang down over the photos. If I wasn't using it, I rolled it up and tied it with the fabric strings. It also made quick clean up. Any blocks that were attached would stay put and be rolled up and out of view.
Becca, your design board idea... couldn't you make it foldable.? Something like a Shoji Screen. That would make it a little more portable. When your first held up your unicorn I thought that the mane and the background looked like it was snowing or raining. Loved them both.
Oooh, that’s a GREAT idea! 💡 This is why I love TH-cam! You put something out there and it evolves with the help of Quilting friends all over the world!!!
Instead of a full barn door, make a board that hangs only a couple inches down on the track system. Maybe put in on brackets that Re removable so can be removed when not in use.

No insult intended but much of this was quite frustrating with all the side bars & repeating and then all the waiting for catch-up. Sorry but 1 person in charge of instruction part please & use pattern piece alpha designation not an arbitrary number or different alpha. Again not trying to be mean just confusing & frustrating as an interested listener.

Elizabeth Hartman patterns - as I'm finding out - tend to sew quickly..it's the cutting that takes forever!
I just ordered this pattern! I’m going to remove the horn and make it into a horse. I hope it works!
Awesome!!! Drop a photo of it on Social Media and tag me & Tiff! We'd love to see it!!
Thankyou both for this. So helpful. Maybe you could also do a tutorial on Lloyd and Lola.😀
Great suggestion! We’ll add it to our list!!

I appreciate both of your skills and willingness to teach - thank you
I’m glad that you’re grateful that we like to teach because I’m grateful that you love to learn from us!!

Are there different sizes of the unicorn pattern in the pattern or just one size of the unicorn? Cute pattern.
I think it's just the one size. :)
How about a projector that you can pull down
(Jayne) Becca did u post the EPP for the unicorn horn u used? I don't see it in ur description. Thanks.
Yes I did! Here's the link to my free downloads page: sewbecca.com/downloads

Hey Becca! What is the pen you are using while pressing?
Hi Leah! The pen I use is the 'Acorn Easy Press Pen' - it's basically a starch pen! You can find it here: shrsl.com/408fy

Yes paper piecing a lot if us are not interested. Love the look but tooo much work.
There’s always more than one way to accomplish what you’re trying to do! Like, for instance - with the unicorn horn!

Hello
How can it be start to finish if one person is already done 🤷♀️
We both started - and finished - piecing a block for the Lisa the Unicorn pattern so that we can make our own wall hangings.
