This is also perfect, because a guy at our LGS was asking me about Etali, and really surprised when I told him that the guy had some cEDH potential! Definitely passing this video over to him when I next get the chance.

@@RebellLily No you did amazing. I would say that this deck doing well though, among others like atraxa, shows that when comes to new cards as commanders, for existing strategies or soon to be that the only real way to know for sure if something is viable is to see and try. If anything in opinion this format is far from solved and experimentation is key to new and innovative discoveries in this amazing format. Again Thank you for great work covering said format.

Fairly short video, easy to watch and it covered exactly what it needs to, very concise. feel like I could go build an etali deck with this video, know roughly how to play it and if i was sitting across from it I would have a good idea of what i need to do/watch for against it. Really well done video

Last week I played casual commander and my friend showed me his Atla Palani deck beforehand. I saw he had a Etali, Primal Conqueror in his deck. I was a little scared of that dino in particular. Somehow he the very first hit with Ashnod’s Altar was Etali. It was only turn 5. Everyone else was still ramping or being mana screwed.
However I got the perfect answer against his (later transformed) Etali. I was able to flip Thaumatic Compass just in time, before he could find removal for the artifact. He could not interact with my land and I basically held Etali in check the whole game with it. It felt really good. Utility lands are amazing.

Which means its just Korvold with no tutors, so why is it good then if it's just a restricted verison of Korvold? Good question.
