I get a new phone every 2-3 years. Either it's due to contract ending or battery life. I can't afford to buy these phones outright that's for sure. Always keep an eye out for deals though. I got the brand new(then) LG G7 ThinQ which was $850 new for $450 from Best Buy online
Kirk Hutchins I agree with you on keeping an eye out for good deals. I've just ordered a Samsung galaxy s9 for 25000 inr ( about 350 usd) which is a pretty good deal considering that the phone started selling for about 850 dollars.
its good to use phones for 3 years atleast. if its a over 500€ phone it will easily last 4 years
I usually go for 3 years. I’m between Samsung and iPhone. Right now since I jail broke my iPhone I’ll keep this bad boy going onto year 3. Might just replace the battery soon though. Cheaper then buying a new phone. If I lose my jail break then I’m switching to Samsung

Sophie Wood to be clear the exynos overheats a lot and the battery in the exynos variant sucks compared to the snapdragon variant....I think the oneplus 8 pro would beat the s20 plus in terms of battery if you’re comparing the exynos s20 plus vs the oneplus 8 pro....and yeah the oneplus might win because of that snapdragon cpu....although I don’t really care about that because both phones would last you through the day easily...so yeah the oneplus 8 pro is better overall if you don’t really care about the cameras because the cameras aren’t as good as the s20 plus....

It takes me hours to setup a phone: the Google feature is flawed and always missing stuff, the only thing that brings it close is Nova Launcher's backup where I then download the greyed out apps. Even if he went and rooted every device he'd still have loads of problems cause Titanium backup is buggy when you load that many apps and it still doesn't carry over to what you do inside settings...

Couldn't agree more. When I've seen that the Huawei p40 pro was released, I was like oh yeah, let's buy it but then £900 is way too much. I'm no Bill Gates 😂 so atm I'm dreaming of the Huawei mate 30 pro. Which is like £700. Still a fortune for a second year student 😂

Currently rocking the Samsung Galaxy s10 and iPhone XR.
My iPhone XR lags at times, has WiFi connection problems and it’s starting to get to me after I tried just about everything I could think of to solve the issue; except for to the Genius Bar
but then again they’ll probably say just get a new phone or “we couldn’t fix it”....
Back in the day they were really helpful but now the only place I can actually get help for electronics is Best Buy aside from my university that has tech junkies too but Covid-19 lol

What's amazing is they do it without a top notch camera ... I think Oxygen OS is what throws it over the top though, most tech reviewers prefer simple and clean.

That's easy, it's the LG V50 and V60 thinq with the Hi-Fi quad DAC built in. It's fantastic. Good enough to drive any brand of headphones. Including professional ones.
