@Vassmotorsports just keep an eye out on your throttle body boots the 08s had a bad problem with them cracking because of age and material at the time 08 was the only really affected year. Great bile love my 2012 vegas 8 ball also lifters can be noisy it's normal

@@Vassmotorsports basically sold both my Vics in 2014 and made the jump to Indian. Since then I have owned five Indians with the Challenger 2020 being the best bike I have ever owned. Might be adding another one this weekend.
I was looking for a recent video about a guy purchasing a Victory recently, well now, lo and behold! I was looking for a second bike to baby my beloved Fatboy 110 SE even more, and even though my now Victory Judge was among several Harleys, she was the only sled I was staring at, when I found her in some dealership on the side of the road. Mine has the biggest motor created by Victory, the 106, but once you reach 100 C.I. or more, a v-twin motor is just a plain monster and a beast! love 'em! These bikes are loaded up with tons of torque, and to answer your question, "is buying a Victory in 2024 smart?" hell yeah man! Victorys are superior than those new "indians", so enjoy it! ride it hard and fast! and cheers man! 🍻🍻😎😎
thank you i love my Victory too. , I love the custom look to someone who is not a hardcore bike person but love how its all factory that way , so far its been a good bike i just hope it holds up long term as everything for it is so expensive unlike a Harley where there are so many aftermarket parts and the bike only cost me 4k so I wouldn't want to spend much on any major repairs ,not to mention i do everything for myself and its hard to find alot of info on the Vics. also unlike a Harley where info and videos are plentiful , thanks so much for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime, heres one of both my bikes , this Victory and my 2000 Fatboy that i saved after Hurricane Ian had her flooded under water 5 days straight which i also have videos on all that and bringing her back to life like nothing ever happened if you want to check out my channel, and my friends Ness edition Vegas that i rode and made me want to try a Victory of my own and made me score mine. th-cam.com/video/uA0wfHKj61g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ZItuZtZyAebOhfhr. #2 Ness Vegas th-cam.com/video/q21O8WtlCok/w-d-xo.htmlsi=7teOPEWHn-wBVvzU

Injave an 01 softail deuce, but, I've always liked how Victory looks. They had a real strong run in popularity in early 00s. There's 2 Victorys running around in my town. Stay safe and enjoy
@jkmkj73 thanks, took her for short run to try out and couple things gonna take some getting used to ,got her legal also. So I can take her out today, you stay safe out there too
Congrats victory brother! 8 gaskets to the entire engine! Harley i believe has 63? You idle at 55psi oil pressure. 75 running. Its a 200,000 mile motor. No pushrods. Superior design.
thanks for the feedback and I know some people believe that ,and dont get me wrong im loving it so far even tho some things i dont like about it as my Harley has me spoiled on the low end grunt and power that this bike just doesn't seem to have and im on a couple Victory groups on Facebook and for how few of any Victory bikes are actually on the road i sure see a lot of people having issues of all sorts and it kinda scares me and not sure how long or smart it is to keep it long term, at least with the Harley if something actually does go wrong i can get anything I want and parts are endless ,thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime
@@Vassmotorsportswell I've never had any issues with my hammer or vegas. Hammer is at 70,000 miles. Vegas is a 2011 with 7000 miles. 1st thing I did was open the exhaust. Now it's no baffles with the cats still installed. These scooters are way detuned from the factory. And I don't know what the previous owner did to your jackpot. However, that bike should have enormous torque right out of the gate. Not bad mouthing Harleys because I've owned them. Just saying what should be happening. Now that I'm 70 years old I'm seriously looking into a masterpiece of motorcycle machinery...Honda goldwing. Don't worry about parts. They'll be there for years to come. The only thing that I've ever seen wear out on victories were brake pads and tires. Lloyd's indian/victory dealer have some really hot stuff for victories. I mean cmon bro they're pulling 238/248 horse out of a 106. Victory builder has a screamer also. Cool truck your son came across. Good luck!
@@cradlesafe5721 thanks again for reply. it does have a lot of torque if i nail it i guess i said wrong, if im just cruising around town and want to just lug or roll through the gears low rpm like i do the Harley it has a wierd sound and almost or makes me think its bad for the engine ,but my Harley can drive around barley over idle haha like itll lug along at any rpm any gear just cruising slow in town but the Victory i have to stay low in the gears and have rpm up to a certan point (no tack) or it sounds wierd the noise i hear , maybe im just not used to it cause my first Vic , but it definitely does have great torque if i roll on it hard , for a V-twin anyway. its far from a sport bike crotch rocket that ive grown up my whole life riding and im 49 now so last 6 or 8 years i started riding cruisers cause i dont ride like an idiot like i used to 🤣🤣
I have the 2007 VJV and it is a great bike. Not a darn thing wrong with it. All I did was add a tuner so I can fatin it up on cruise. I will never sell mine.
@@Vassmotorsports oh you have the 100 not 106. Mine is the 100 and I love it. Disregard my last comment on timing wheel it is hard to replace on the 100 but easy on 106. Anyways just keep an eye on the intake boot and the 2 rubber plugs on right side of intake. That rubber can go bad and crack.
@@blairaudio yeah mine still 08 so its 100ci too , I didn't see your reply about the timing wheel but i seen a little about them. didn't know any difference in 100 and 106 in changing them, but was curious about the tuner if it was worth it or not, i only paid 4k for whole bike with few extras it had and the condition i felt like i did great but I dont like spending big $ on a bike either haha. i dont have much $ to throw around and dont like being upside down in anything incase i ever have to sell i dont like losing money lol, I see the intake boots seem to be a big issue on these Vics which is wierd and i haven't checked mine yet but seems to be running good except a little pop in exhaust sometime when shifting gears but the exhaust is pretty loud even tho i see baffles i figured it just makes it pop depending on how you run and shift , but i have wanted to check the boot plate just incase its leaking a little , looks like a bad design flaw
I had a friend in Richmond VA that worked at a Victory dealer about 20 or so yrs ago. He was frustrated back then having trouble with corporate getting parts. Victory goes out of business in 2017. Does anyone still work on these?
There are a couple people who still work on them ,but I never take anything, anywhere to have worked on. I always do my own repairs ,only thing wouldbei dont have a scan tool for this bike ,, I was and still am hesitant about being able to get parts if I need them , (not like a Harley with endless parts listed online) although I do see some parts ,and some used as bikes are wrecked or such, but they are very expensive and I don't like that , I'll just hope for the best while I own her and treat her right , thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos
wow sounds like a real deal , ive been enjoying mine for sure, thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime
thanks im glad you like the bike. i feel it waz a great deal i would have been an idiot not to buy it because i was actually wanting one for couple months now and it got me in the kick to put my Harley back on the road , i had to fix her after she was under water 5 days in Hurricane Ian, and was sitting in my shop last 1.5 yr and finally took a week or 2 and fixed it , thats another video haha. what truck has air in line ? thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos
@@Vassmotorsports The truck that intermittently overheats. A trapped pocket of air in the coolant can do that. I'll be looking for you HD repair video. Corrosion in the electrical system for the coming years is what to watch out for with that one. Hopefully it wasn't salt water.
@@SW-Video 🤣 im still not sure of what truck your refering to as i luckily dont have a truck that temp runs up on lol. i drove my little truck around 18 hrs that day no issues and my dually definitely hasn't except when i bought it used few years back knowing it needed headgaskets cause LLY Duramax so i got her dirt cheap and did gaskets /studs, WP and few other things at that time. and thankfully it was not saltwater as we were 60 miles or so from the coast but the Peace River flooded our park down Florida and i replaced anything that seamed like an issue like the burnt ignition switch and lead ,main battery wire, starter, circuit breaker and so on. rest looked nice and clean on all connections and terminals, this is one video i believe when i got to go get the bike after the storm and brouht home th-cam.com/video/WZmBO2FTj18/w-d-xo.html. and this is when i finally got around to fixing her couple weeks ago th-cam.com/video/aEgh-4ck6IQ/w-d-xo.html. @@Vassmotorsports The blue Ram at the 9:24 minute mark. So glad your beautiful Fatboy was salvageable. I rode and built HD's for 33 years before switching to Victory. I recently found a good deal on an 06 Ness JP. Should pick it up soon. I think it sat for many years though so I may go through some of the same things you did with your HD. I even thought about getting a Honda Fury. One of the best factory made choppers. The only downside is it's a 5 speed.
@@SW-Video oh man sorry i forgot my son picked up that dodge. it was just the lower shroud piece missing from and not letting fan pull enough air and i put a new fan clutch for him. never did actually overheat but he wound up selling her anyways to make a few bucks as he got it so cheap. heck it didn't overheat when the guy first drove it all the way to meet my son and let him test drive and he drove home. but it was full too when i checked it and i have a funnel that burps the system but she was full. thanks again for the feedback and watching any videos
it was already on the bike but it has the Victory emblem right on it so I would imagine they bought it from the dealer , and bought the Corbin seat ,the guy i got it from said his dad bought it brand new in 08 but unfortunately he passed around 19 or 20 and the son got the bike and it just sat in the garage and only had 138 miles since was titled to him in 19 until i got it from him. thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos
I made the same mistake with the same damn bike. Great bike but can't find parts, Polaris abandoned the line and the customer and the market doesn't want them. The bike didn't fit me, maybe if it did? I bought mine for 2000 and sold it for 4250.
Wow that was a cheap buy. I feel like 4k was good especially for the condition this one is in and the market right now , so I figured if I don't like it I shouldn't get hurt on the deal ( I don't like loosing $ ) and one issue with the bike could change that real quick. Did you have any issues with it? And thanks for watching Vassmotorsports
@@Vassmotorsports The only issues I had were all caused by someone else trying to "fix it", a PC tuner that was badly mapped, and airbox mod that made it run lean at idle, MAF sensor bypassed, enrichener lever missing, poor wiring and bad grounds. Once I returned everything to factory (found out how hard it is to get parts) It became a monster, ran really well and was quite fast for a cruiser. The bike just didn't fit me, the slow steering is horrid and not really for city riding, a real bear to manage in traffic and not much fun in the canyons. Get her out on the highway and she is in her element but really just a one trick pony with factory custom look. My current fav bike is an 07 ZX14R and I am selling my 2 Harleys to fund a Z900RS. My "cruiser" is an 06 Yamaha Roadliner Midnight and I have my Road Couch, A 97 Kawi Voyager 1200- just give you a sense of my taste, I am a Kawi Fan. I enjoy your vids, keep makin em :)
@Roaddog420 yeah this is completely stock engine wise and I don't plan on touching that. And was leary about buying one because I know parts are hard to find and so damn expensive. And I do not like being (upside-down) in anything I own , so not sure what I'm doing yet , one little miss hap and I could be to deep , and I grew up riding crotch rockets all my life until I turned 43 or so and decided to try a cruiser to see if it was comfortable , then got my first Harley on my 45th ,( always hated them, haha, until I got that one) so I wouldn't consider any cruiser at all fast or agile like some people think they are ,lol. So I do understand about it being heavy and maybe awkward in turns , but im using it for what she is ,a cruiser and that's what got my attention was the custom look but all factory, my friend has a 04 Vegas ,Ness edition and its nice. I just don't like the skinny back tire ,same as my Fatboy, stupidest thing Harley could do on such a sweet bike is such a skinny rear. But she drives good that way ,just hate the look
@@Vassmotorsports I think it has a factory stage one kit on it. The chrome scoops on the air filter panel show that. Do the pipes say "Victory Performance" on them? Cobra made them for Victory.
@timothydubois5834 no and I was looking for that because I've seen them on other bikes in adds I was looking at, they are not obnoxious like baffles are out ,but it will pop sometime when slowing down with motor instead of just pulling in clutch and using brakes only. So I'm not sure if tuned for pipes or not , don't see name anywhere on them , figured chrome pieces were just added for looks on breather , not sure how I'd know. But Def no added boxes under seat unless was flash tuned
i actually have a few but was just going up the street real quick lol. i scored a Victory helmet on marketplace was still new in the box left over someone had with bag and all i scored for $40 cause the guy had a Harley and said he didn't know anyone that owned a Victory, thanks for the comment and thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos th-cam.com/video/uA0wfHKj61g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=PubMstDS2kCeumXY

@Vassmotorsports just keep an eye out on your throttle body boots the 08s had a bad problem with them cracking because of age and material at the time 08 was the only really affected year. Great bile love my 2012 vegas 8 ball also lifters can be noisy it's normal
I loved my Vic JP.
i definitely love mine. fun ride for the money ,what year do you have? , thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime
@@Vassmotorsports I had 07 white with the extreme graphics. Bumped up the rear to a 260. Added the Lloydz airbox and fuel controller.
@@poppysadventures2020 yes those are beautiful bikes , didn't realize ya sold it tho
@@Vassmotorsports basically sold both my Vics in 2014 and made the jump to Indian. Since then I have owned five Indians with the Challenger 2020 being the best bike I have ever owned. Might be adding another one this weekend.
@@poppysadventures2020 oh nice. i dont know much about those
I was looking for a recent video about a guy purchasing a Victory recently, well now, lo and behold!
Bought a Vict Vegas Jackpot, Orange exactly 12 months ago. It still blowd me away!
is it the 2013 with the tribal or 12 ? i fell in love with an orange 13 and i missed a great deal then any one i found was way more than ibwanted to spend and this 08 color and flame was my next favorite and love it also especially the deal i got
Great price, congrats
thank you. i think she is a beautiful bike and have been enjoying it. even tho i got my Harley Fatboy running right after getting this , I love them both tho haha. thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime. heres one of both bikes recently as a quick th-cam.com/video/uA0wfHKj61g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_ZNpp2byCxmhALzs comparison
Beautiful. Just take me for a ride😂
Thanks lol and thanks for watching Vassmotorsports
i'm a harley guy but i like that victory
Thank you and Thanks for watching, I'm also a Harley guy and when I get my Fatboy running again I'll do a good review between them. Goods and bad
I will never sell mine.
what is a VJV ? I'm definitely enjoying my bike so far
@@Vassmotorsports it was backwards. Victory Vegas jackpot vvj
@@blairaudio ok sweet, could you tell a difference with the tuner ? what kind and where did ya find it ?
Victory didn't exactly go out of business. It became Indian. Same company, same factory, and, I would assume, a lot of the same engine parts.
I love my victory 2013 police I got my for 1500
wow sounds like a real deal , ive been enjoying mine for sure, thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime
You scored! Easily a $7K JP where I live. The truck probably has air in the upper coolant line.
thanks im glad you like the bike. i feel it waz a great deal i would have been an idiot not to buy it because i was actually wanting one for couple months now and it got me in the kick to put my Harley back on the road , i had to fix her after she was under water 5 days in Hurricane Ian, and was sitting in my shop last 1.5 yr and finally took a week or 2 and fixed it , thats another video haha. what truck has air in line ? thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos
And this is my friends Ness Vegas that i rode and decided i wanted to try a Victory but i fell in love with the Jackpot especially rear tire and looks so thats where that all came from haha th-cam.com/video/q21O8WtlCok/w-d-xo.html
What kimd of windshield is it
it was already on the bike but it has the Victory emblem right on it so I would imagine they bought it from the dealer , and bought the Corbin seat ,the guy i got it from said his dad bought it brand new in 08 but unfortunately he passed around 19 or 20 and the son got the bike and it just sat in the garage and only had 138 miles since was titled to him in 19 until i got it from him. thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos
