I find that when you put the two together it's just perfect. Like, in FGO she's just chilling at chaldea or in the already goofy world of gudaguda, so she is less in "killing mode", but in Red/Line there's a war where enemies can be everywhere, so she's always on edge ready to kill at any moment, and both FGO and Red/Line shows her other side from time to time So for me, the two combined are truly the full okita experience
She's murderous in FGO too, you just don't see it much outside of fights. She literally celebrates after murdering your enemies, as if she was just given her favorite candy... that says something, I think. And in Redline, there's a *war* going on all around her, so she's perpetually in her "battle mode". But she's very amiable and fairly sweet torwards her Master at times, those times when she can't help but let her grip on her emotions relax a bit, allowing you to see the sweet and friendly girl she really is. Contrast that to FGO, where she's either in a safe environment or in an environment in which things are wacky and don't make much sense. In one environment, there's no need to keep her emotions in check as there are little to no enemies. In the other, it's impossible to maintain her composure as her brain is rattled over and over by nonsensical events. And in the latter environment, she doesn't have a Master relying almost exclusively on her survival (she's either an enemy or is one of many allies). In one world, she MUST be composed and aware at all times or else her Master could die. In the other, there's not much need to maintain that composure. It's like comparing Gilgamesh in Babylon(during the battle with Tiamat), Fate Extra, and Stay Night. It isn't that their character was retconned, it's that the input into the computer that is their brain is different so their output changes accordingly.

During the last summer I spent my special ascension on the assassin swimsuit Okita who I was lucky enough to roll. This happened after I watched a lot of Gintama and read a little bit about history of the real Shinsengumi. Damn, it sure felt weird to hear words of affection from the genderbent Okita. As well as seeing her swimsuit version. I just couldn't get his/her (whatever) sadist smug Gintama version out of my head. (Don't even get me started on the genderbend arc...) It felt funny. Still, she's cute. And I melted at that Bond 10 line, and those animations are so gooood
