I got my first chicks when I was 5. They made excellent playmates. I could lay them on their backs in my lap like dolls. And we had a corn parade each morning where I held up an ear of corn and they followed me all over the yard. Chickens are smart and make loyal, loving pets. Dot is a beautiful sweetheart and thank you for all you have done.

She’s perfect.. we raise chickens, geese, ducks and Pygmy goats on our property, the animals love seeing each other. We would let them roam the property a few times a week to do some yard work and pest control 😂. It’s the cutest thing ever seeing them commingle in their little community.

I got a rooster named Miracle. He thinks he's the king of the world. Everyone's afraid of him. I was the only one who can hold him but not w/o a struggle! He won't stop crowing until I get up do my exercise amd feed him and feed him and feed him!

Yes Thank you for being so good to Dot ! One day she will come in and lay you an 🥚, My Mom had a chicken that did came in the kitchen every morning, mom had her a basket to get in , then she was like here’s breakfast let me back out 😊
It's really funny that Dot thinks she's a duck now. She runs just like a duck does. One time I met a pair of geese who thought they were chickens because they were placed in a flock of them. They always stayed together and the very back of the pack but they waddled like chickens and clucked like chickens. I sat and watched them for hours. It remains one of the cutest things I've ever seen in my life.
