This is a way to make custom kingdoms/factions that are separate from yours 1) Create a kingdom 2) make a companion a vassal 3) abstigate leadership,give it to the vassal(keep your fiefs of course 4) leave kingdom 5) boom, a separate new independent faction now exists
@@lucifereldiablo7770I know I’m late but I saw someone that conquered the whole map with the khuzaits and then created a kingdom. They then left and created another separate kingdom another 4 times. So you absolutely can do it multiple times in the same play through.
I honestly wish you could choose how their banner looks like, cause it’s kinda weird when a new Vlandian Lord runs around with a banner that shows some Khuzait or Aserai imagery. Dx

This is super useful. I hate it having to convince lords to join me after I've executed some other lords and that crippling debuff hits me. Also I didn't know you could give companions armor. I always thought they just get equipment themselves.

@@Cavemanner really.. I didn't know you can hit Q or E for companions. I'm usually too busy with the logistics and keeping my army fed while also being public enemy numero uno of many factions. My tactic is buy and move while doing a defeat in detail maneuver that it never occurred to me.
After you turn your companion into a lord, marry your daughter to him for extra loyalty and so that they can pop out babies. This is far better than marrying your daughter off to an outside kingdom, because now she stays in your kingdom.

This is kinda off-topic, but still bannerlord related, an anecdote I wanted to share. I was playing with my character, who had just sworn allegiance to the Western Empire, and had also secured an alliance with one of the noble families by marrying the lord's daughter. Some time passes by, and my character is out there raiding and pillaging until I received a notification that my wife was finally pregnant, then Thanos, my character, goes back to the castle to speak with the spouse and she's like: "Yours is not a face I know, who are you stranger?... LMAO
I have captured ALL Empire fiefs then had a promotion spree promoting companions to lords to ALL castles, I keep the cities. I have around 50+ parties roaming around.
Good vid! If you want to recover some of the spent influence, you do the same but instead of creating a new party you just turn them into a vassal and let them form their own party, then you create an army and add them, then you donate troops. If the troops are high tier, you should recieve a good amount of influence. The downside is that they need 40% of their max troops to join your army, and they likely will be lower tier.

In regards to the first method where you find a current lord and convince him to join you. They'll never join you if their wealth is average, rich or very rich; they'll only betray their lord if they are poor or very poor. The best time to try and convince them is after they've lost their fiefs (because I took it from them and then made them made them declare peace) and lost a battle (also me).

I remember playing some point last year and when I made my companion have his own party, all he did was stay in the one settlement I owned whilst all the villages were getting raided by looters. I allowed it to go on because I was curious if the looters parties grew and eventually I started seeing them in groups of 70 roaming around. I had no idea why he wouldn’t leave and at that point I had 3 more parties and none of them did anything so I stopped playing
Btw his family members get random gear of minor clans attached to the culture. For instance for Empire it can be of Eleftheroi, Legion of the Betrayed or Hidden Pawn, for Battanians it's Wolfskins. That's pretty shitty gear and you can change that either by modding it (two files), which is not so hard but you have to understand which gears to edit and how, or you download Campaign helper mod which allows you to edit lord's gear.
You can show this ? I'm curious how this looks. And in future this possible make marriage between sister and brother (son of your brother) I'm seriously curious where is border what producers of this game put with that.
You could, but, they would then just become part of your clan again. This is something to consider if you are trying to design the perfect wife though.

One thing I hate about this feature is when you make a companion a lord, the game automatically changes up their armor and weapons. I noticed it mostly happens when the equipment they're wearing is of lesser value than what the "default" lord of that faction wears, but even if you equip them with top tier stuff, the game will still mess with their weapon loadouts. For example, my companion was equipped with a top tier sword, shield, bow and arrows. As soon as I made him a lord, the game gives him an extra bow in place of his arrows so now he's wearing two bows with no arrows to shoot. Reload my save and make him a lord again, now the game gives him two shields. Try switching his loadout to include a good polearm, the game gives him an extra polearm that replaces his shield. It's actually infuriating.

Not 100% sure it's still an issue, but how do you prevent lords from leaving your kingdom? Ages ago I had a fellow, at max relations, paid an insane amount as usual for him to join and a week later he defected. For no reason?! Is this fixed yet? I don't mind if lords become disgruntled for a good reason, but randomness is silly. If it is fixed as I expect, you have character traits and thus actions they approve or disapprove. They want more war or less mercy for instance. Maybe they get jealous of others who have more fiefs? Any things like this to keep track of?
So it will always be random having high relation just helps. But the biggest thing is your factions strength. In the beginning you will be weak so the ai doesn't want to join you often and even if they do they could leave. As you capture settlements and finish wars they won't leave as much. Always have a huge amount of gold before making your own faction because you will be declared war on by more than one faction and you need to just pay them off to end the war

I'm a bit torn with smithing as a source of money as it feels like cheating, but the only sane way to buy allies... Maybe I'll cheat by giving myself 300 trade (console or iron/steel cheesing) but compensating this by setting restrictions. My goal for that would be to be able to swap around vassal fiefs. I'm planning to start in the northeast corner and I want one strong clan each of Sturgian, Khuzait and Imperial culture. I don't really want tiny vassals, but I'd like the idea of rewarding companions to become vassals. Maybe I'll even marry of my (grand)daughters and not really lose them!
@@teambellavsteamalice awesome plans! I personally always make a companion or 2 as my smithing slaves lol. Just remember to keep certain companions for you personal party roles and to be captains. Its funny that the companions I have from the very beginning my most loyal men and women will never be awarded with a title because they are to useful as companions
They can be bought out by any enemy king, so it can always happen. Relation is important, as is how much stuff they have. A lord with multiple properties is harder to convince to leave. But, a lot of it also has to do with total faction strength. That's why i don't typically recruit enemy lords until i am strong enough.
@@Deathelement53 Yeah, smithing helps them level up a bit, as does giving them stewardship. I intend to have multiple multiple-use companions, starting low level switching roles often. I once noticed having a backup healer would have been great, as training up a newbie with a huge army is very costly. Having several engineers, scouts or warriors and training them up as healers early on might be nice. It could make them decent governors or partyleaders too.
Question is how to you get a governor for a castle when you already have too many companions as governors? I have 11 companions and can not recruit anymore so I have castles without governors
Why companion lords never summon armies or go off sieging by themselves ? My dudes just patrol around their fiefs and unless i summon them in an army they dont go on the offensive
Question : If you promote a companion to a Lord/ ( New Clan ) . Will his Companion slot become free ? . Ex : you have 6 companions. You promote them all to Lords . They Create there own clans. Even marry with some ladys. Have armys. etc. But then are you able to recruit 6 new companions to fill in your party roles ? If that is so you could practicly use "all the in game companions" to make them Lords if you hire them and "knight them" - and maybe leave a few ( the last ones ) for your own skill replacement [ medic , scout ] / use them as caravans / take over an crime alley / have them as captians in the battles / use them as personal own clan partys | armys . IF for example you wore not able to play in a virtous way and increase relationship with the other knightom faction clans [ by doing quest and freeing them after battle/prison & and making them friends ] that you can not recruit them in your kingdom ( or have no money to convince them ) - > you could use the companion pool - to create 20 new clans and bypass your criminal / opportunistic rise to fame and riches.
I recommend having them lead parties in your clan for a while first, either that or governing towns/castles. That way they can level up their governing skills before you turn them into lords.
Does your relationship with the person you are trying to convince matter? I’m sure a negative relationship hurts but do you really need anything above 0 to recruit them?
QUESTION does anyone know if npcs on the map actually recieve the movement bonuses for Sturgia, asserai, and Battania. As in if I make my caravans out of these cultures does it actually help at all? Anybody?
Pretty much by gaining renown from battles. Give them good fiefs, and grant them some money, so that they afford more troops and fight in better battles. The more they fight, the more renown they get

I did that had full Garrison of aserai master archers, sturgian heavy axemans, spearmans and battanian fians and the Town lost 70% of Garrison during his first few days so idk what I did wrong. Anyway THe better THe companion is the better he will be
Since the fief is now being managed by his wealth rather than yours he might have not been able to afford to keep them and the AI got rid of them, I always give them about 50k gold so that their wealth becomes average and they won't betray me (poor lord will leave your faction for another).
to invite other lords best target those poorest without fiefs, they are cheap, they can even hate you it doesnt matter, wont cost more than 500k a clan, i got lvl 4 clans for such money so i think its cheap
Hey, i have a castle, and the 2 bound villages, only get me like 5-7 gold a day, and when I click on the trade tab, i see that they only have a couple of cheese or grains. Is it possible to make them have more things in stock to sell, and to make more profit? Or what seems to be the problem
I don't recommend owning Castle since most of the villagers sell their goods to the nearest town. You can click the nearest town and press Alt to see the bound and trading villages. Try upgrading your castle to see if if the gold income increases.
You can try working on the castle projects to make it a more profitable location, but generally speaking castles don't make much money. And, if you garrison them, you usually end up losing money to wages. Towns are far more profitable.

Make sure to save before you give them the land and title

That's quite a day for ol' Temeon. Began the day drinking in a bar--ended it as a lord commanding an army.

If you're making your companion a lord you are essentially not keeping fiefs because he is assigning his own clan to thaf fief.

THat is true. They are much much easier to convince to switch sides if they are poor, and have no fiefs.

I think only companions can be clan leaders, since your spouse and siblings belong are your family/clan. However You can form a party with them.
Marry your daughter and kill everybody then she be leader Clan;)

So this allows you to go full head-chopper without worrying about winning them back

Can you marry with wanderer, if you make him/her a lord?

I did that had full Garrison of aserai master archers, sturgian heavy axemans, spearmans and battanian fians and the Town lost 70% of Garrison during his first few days so idk what I did wrong. Anyway THe better THe companion is the better he will be
Since the fief is now being managed by his wealth rather than yours he might have not been able to afford to keep them and the AI got rid of them, I always give them about 50k gold so that their wealth becomes average and they won't betray me (poor lord will leave your faction for another).
I gave my companion his own party but there is no option to reward her?

to invite other lords best target those poorest without fiefs, they are cheap, they can even hate you it doesnt matter, wont cost more than 500k a clan, i got lvl 4 clans for such money so i think its cheap

Hey, i have a castle, and the 2 bound villages, only get me like 5-7 gold a day, and when I click on the trade tab, i see that they only have a couple of cheese or grains. Is it possible to make them have more things in stock to sell, and to make more profit? Or what seems to be the problem
I don't recommend owning Castle since most of the villagers sell their goods to the nearest town. You can click the nearest town and press Alt to see the bound and trading villages. Try upgrading your castle to see if if the gold income increases.
You can try working on the castle projects to make it a more profitable location, but generally speaking castles don't make much money. And, if you garrison them, you usually end up losing money to wages. Towns are far more profitable.
