Ive just watched a double geo double pyro clearing the abyss. (zhongli, bedo, xiangling, bennet) 3*
I mean I already finished it, I feel like this one is way more easier than Old one, because it makes units like Amber Or Noelle super good in your team, also for floor 11 you just need sacrificial weapons to mess with the cooldown increase

When you try to tell what moves the abyss lectors will do based on their voice lines but can't cause they talk over each other too much

Their animations are pretty easy to read except for the AOE explosion that there’s no way any melee character will dodge cuz you just have to be out of their radius lmao. Also, even if you can dodge (which you have to so your energy wouldn’t get drained) then you won’t be hitting the DPS check for them... so unless you have a Zhong Li to tank all their hits or Ganyu to fight from ranged then it’s kinda GG for 3*s at least.

@@fangservicex2964 it's undodgeable if their explosions are slightly staggered next to each other (which they usually are) since dodging one means the other will hit right after your s from dodge end. Also, most melee chars are CA carries so you can't really afford to dodge imo. My b for not clarifying tho

honestly with just decent teams, you can clear up to floor 10 with no problems. Even if you can't beat, it getting 300 extra primos every 2 weeks is worth it.

Yeah, I too gave up, it seems impossible. 32 stars is the best I can do now, wish they added new floors instead of making old ones harder.
Better idea, make old floors have replayablity by adding actual primogems reward
I'm not sure if chat on stream mentioned this at all but 2 bits of advice if you want it.
1) Bennet is actually really hurting you on 12-2 second half with all of the hydro mimics. His burst applies pyro to your characters which is enabling all of the hydro mimics to vaporize you when they attack massively increasing the damage they deal. I'd suggest trying to use Qiqi instead on the back half and Bennet on the first half if you want to keep them as your two healers. Plus minor upside of being able to freeze some mimics when you're healing anyway.
2) By no means mandatory but I generally never use Hu Tao without a character on the team that can give her a shield. Otherwise she's just insanely fragile when at low hp. I know you're using Zhongli for Ganyu to prevent her from getting interrupted when using charged shots though. Personally I'd say Diona is going to be extremely strong here as both cryo and having a useful shield but I'm not sure if you actually have her leveled at all so that might not be an option.
Bonus mention that Diona can actually cleanse the slowing waters debuff on floor 11 with her shield skill as well. Bennet and Jean bursts are the only other way to cleanse it.
no, diona does NOT cleanse slowing water debuff (she can cleanse other debuff but just not slowing water); she's been known by this ever since her shield not cleansing slowing water debuff in domain before current abyss was released.

@@__-uk3qx yes i agree since when i tried the abyss at like AR 20 - 30 it was hard to even stay alive much less kill the enemies, yet when i got to AR 50+ I basically cleared all of abyss 1 to 8 and got stuck a bit at floor 9 but it was quite easy

Bennet on 12-2 lower half is a big no no because he applies pyro to your character so all the mimics deal essentially double damage from vaporize. This is also why it is easy to get one shooted once the pyro mage spawns, he applies pyro and the birds 1-2 shoots you.

I agree the Herald's shields are bit much, hydro shields have always been the hardest to break because they have no direct elemental counter. Even throwing as much electro and ice at them as I could it still took me a good minute or two to get them both down. The Lector's shields are probably fine, electro is weak to ice so just throw as much of it as you can at them and they go down pretty quickly.

Yeah, I did abyss 12 using Diona to give shield to Ganyu, and was extremely easy to beat those oceanid hydro mimics.
This abyss was literally made for Eula. Mihoyo knows what they’re doing, now we actually have a reason to NEED her instead of want lol

12-2 second half is an absolute pain, but I will still take that over the old 11-2. I’ve been able to get to floor 12 for the first time because of the new floor 11, and besides the heralds’ bulky shields in 11-3 taking up some time, it’s easy to get 8 or 9 stars for 11. Just have to find a way to work around 12-2 second half.
this is 2.3 and now we have triple maguu kenki in floor 12-2 that can kill of your entire team.

Little tip for f2p's
Use Diona in Floor 12 Camber 2 second half, she will help you a lot with freeze and you should focus on killing the crane mimics.
Floor 12 Chamber 3 you should just try and beat it although it feels almost impossible, don't focus on doing it fast or in a cool way.
You should also try to get 2 Stars in chamber 1 since its the easiest on Floor 12 and try to get 1 Star in Chamber 2.
Also the chamber 3 MVP is Diona again and Ganyu if you have her since cryo is the best against their shields of the lecters.
Floor 11 isn't too bad for the most part, just make sure to have a cryo unit with you on both sides.
Another tip for Floor 12 Chamber 3 is that you should keep your distance from the lecters since they have a special strong close range aoe.
Best units:
Ganyu,Zhongli,Diona,Diluc,Benneckenstein,Venti,Hu Tao,Xinqiu(good healing against lecters just like Diona)
Moga at the end is basically me. God damn I'm so done with this abyss. I've gotten 33 stars and completed 12-3 with 1 star. I'm literally just done. I was excited at the abyss being tougher but 12-2 with mimics is the shittiest idea ever. Shreds my 40k zhongli shield in a goddamn second

For people who are unaware. The hydro mimic Crane can vaporize you because of the pyro abyss mage aura. That is why he kept getting one shotted at chamber 2 of floor 12. I advise people to take them out first, Bring a shielder as well because the pyro tick of the aura actually deal damage due to it being tied to AR55 beyond
edit, Rosa or Diona is good for this chamber, Bring atleast 1 cryo for initial crowd control. Dont bother bringing hydro, use electro to break pyro abyss mage shield and cryo cicin later

I'm actually grateful for the challenge, gives me the opportunity to update my strategy, f2p or otherwise. I beat it at 29, my usual was 32, so I'm working towards trying to attain 36 for the first time.
Sooner or later we will find out the way to beat this new challenge, as we always do.

@@oyophant4745 Yes, it's true after all that genshin is also a game a lot based on the gameplay to win fights but the point i'm trying to make is about the diversity of characters needed, the need of constellation on those characters and the artifacts required, if you are a f2p you most of the time will not have many characters and you don't refill resin with primo to max your characters and artifacts and i'm sure 90% of the time a f2p will also not summon on weapon banner so even if you are the best player of all you will not make it through this abyss floor without having a very very solid roaster (godly luck) or a very solid bank account
@@oyophant4745 Yes, we're very limited in the number of characters we can raise and abyss requires 2 different teams, all of that while we just want to play characters we like, like you say you are bored with diluc but the game obliges you to play him to clear abyss because he is fully enhanced, in the end you can't even play characters you like since the game forces you to play meta characters

I’m currently stuck in 12-3 since I don’t have a cryo character built, and floor 11 was also easier except for 11-3 because I don’t have a cryo character built. I can only imagine how easy spiral abyss would be with Ganyu, and I’m also missing Zhongli which would also help a lot because my noelle shield was not strong enough to shield me from all the water mimics but it wasn’t too hard with Xiao and Keqing

My setup for a 3 star floor 12 was as follow:
Team 1: Hutao, Xingqiu, Ganyu, Diona
Hutao+Xingqiu godly dps. Ganyu for electro shield. Diona heals
Team 2: Xiao, Bennett, Sucrose, Venti
Sucrose with Thrilling Tales + Bennett ult to buff Xiao dps. Venti to gather mobs. Venti & Sucrose mega batteries for Xiao.

I used to get 36 stars effortlessly, now this new abyss forced me to use my real power to get 36 stars
Just wanted to say that some of the hydro abyss mage bubbles are further away and invisible until you bump into them. They are roughly at the angles where there are gaps in the inner bubbles, but further away from the abyss mage. You need to dash away then dash diagonally to avoid them.
Everyone complained how easy he was in the story quest so MIHOYO went like: 🤨

i wish they at least enabled the co-op function on the abyss as well! having 2 full teams with well built main dps and characters that meet the requirements of each floor is a hell for a f2p player. or just let us choose the difficulty, so that fuckers with c6 5-stars can do the hardcore mode as much as they want without complaining
ah yes, everyone equally hates how challenging the current abyss is. I'm actually loving the hardest content there is

Least complicated enemies:
This might as well be a pay wall. This spiral abyss is balanced for mid to extreme whales or people who have absolutely incredible artifacts. I can clear it (only 5 star), but its not just challenging its frustrating to the point of being a chore. I enjoyed last abyss because it gave me enough of a challenge while not being a teeth grinding slog. This new abyss is not worth the primos and frustration.

Dps noelle works amazingly on the hydro mimics because she generates hydro shields with every hit and can hit everything together
