Excellent video and great idea. Will be giving that a whirl this spring, definitely cheaper than what they sell in stores or online and looks like the same stuff. Thanks Bud!!!
Great video and excellent idea with the sawdust. I used to buy castor lure but not cheap. I will make my own now but will add some oil gland fluid. Ya Grade 1 Western sold for $5.35 per ounce and Grade 2 Western has no market so will use the Grade 2 castor. Cheers.
Last year I make my own beaver lures, same way. Some old trapper recommendet to me use a small beaver castor glands because they not so aggressive. "If you use old beaver glands, small from them could scare of yang beaver's, and the wasn't go to your sets."
I have no idea why the algo sent me here. I was waiting for you to make a fishing lure. But now I want to catch a beaver, once I figure out what a castor is and if there are even beavers in California.
This makes perfect sense, I bet Poplar Sawdust would work amazing, because they seem to really be attracted to poplar.
yes, for sure. that would work great

Welcome aboard!
What beaver lure do you recommend that I can buy?
If I were to make the sawdust, instead of buying it..
What wood sawdust should I stay away from?
Dude... green beaver are averaging like $20 and wet castor is like $10 a lb wet 20-25 dry.
Wow that’s way up from last years prices for sure. We were getting in the 5-6 dollar range for a while
