    I own a small freezer, and I buy half a cow raised on pasture from local farm, 40% is ground beef.
    You can buy grass fed grain finished(more fat), or grass fed grass finished. I get all the bones and organs too. It comes all butchered the way you want.

She is very big .we got her a pork roast at $ 1.49 lb ,She would eat 2 big cans of dog food they are over $ 2.00 ea. and she did not like it much .other good thing we can eat it to . @@jessicamurphy6522 hi ,it's easy for us we are eating carnivore for health reasons ( Dr ken Berry, TH-cam ) our dog can eat every thing we do and vice versa. But we do give her things we can eat but choose not to, ( like head meat from
      the Chefs store 2.09 lb & chicken gizzard at 5.49 for 5lb ) the gizzards we instant pot for 30min no spices. in summer and slow cook at 250 overnight. We get 2 days of food for her .if we are eating them too I clean them better and add spices like Greek or curry, strong and sometimes a little hot, but not if she is joining us, we take hers out first. If we find a meat on sale under $2 we get extra for her , her pork roast was over 7lb - just meat and water and the instant pot.
      I hope this helps. GOD BLESS

    I spend $250 or sometiles less on a primal of some kind and slice that into steaks and put in my freezer. i also buy 10 doezen eggs at a time. Every day I have one steak and 4 eggs and if i get hungery later 4 more eggs (all slathered in butter :).
    THAT is my sum total of expendatures for at least a month and a half. I am also not taking trash out to the curb more than once a month because I am not generating any trash except the egg shells.
    This is WAY cheaper than buying all that packages GARBAGE from the super markets.

Like you said, I have spent less money on groceries since I switched to carnivore. It is possible to do carnivore on a budget. The best part is that we get to live a life with better health and spending less money. Wow! 💰 ❤

    Kroger in Texas regularly has bone on ribeye roasts for $5.99lb (2024). Sometimes precut at that price but just ask for the whole roast in the bag. 17lb to 21lb is the range i have bought. Just separate the ribs off and then cut your steaks and vacuum pack all of them.

    • @neahsway
      @neahsway  19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Does yours have a butcher in house? The nearest one to me I talked to their meat dept manager and he said they don't cut anything there except some times they trim fat from steaks if there's a sale on them that week. I was a little confused by that. (Was asking if I could buy fat trimmings regularly).

    • @delimpiador
      @delimpiador 19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@neahsway all of the ones here receive their beef as "box beef" ie a box full of primal cuts that they break down into steaks. So I am able to buy primals fairly easily. So the answer is yes but it is more meat cutter than butcher. A skill and pay level distinction. Big meat packing syndicate killed the skilled butchers at grocery stores receiving carcasses and doing the real work obviously. If you are also in Texas, you can get good primals at Winco. Just don't get the ribeye roast they sell from Mexico. Lean, tough and not great at all...ended up in slivers in a crock pot or in a stir fry.

    • @delimpiador
      @delimpiador 19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@neahsway oh...and follow up to my previous answer....should have mentioned that I regularly get white fat trimmings and split femers for marrow regularly at Winco. Just ask an older guy in the meat area. Make sure to say white fat. Good luck

    Hey Neah… Great video!!
    I think I was the one who mentioned that I use Flipp. I have a lot more choices of grocery stores n my area so the app enables me to see and compare sales and prices among them.
    I also agree that local stores often have as good if not better deal than Costco or Sam’s Club, BJ’s etc.
    I recently found an amazing Brazilian grocery Store with a full butcher shop inside and it’s unreal. I bought bone in rib eyes for $6.99 per lb and they had lots of other great finds like Pichana which I can’t find most anywhere else. I’m gonna buy that soon but I don’t know how to cook it!! Help!!😊😊

    • @neahsway
      @neahsway  25 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yes. He does. That's more reflected in the slide with our family budget per week. He typically eats 3 or 4 eggs with bacon or pork chops for breakfast, and I make him a ribeye or other steak every night, with onions or pickled okra on the side. He might eat a small meal at work, and sometimes uses a protein powder to get some cals in because he doesn't get a formal meal break. So it's more for him for sure. But still overall less expensive than what we spent buying more veg and snack foods in the past.

    Great info thank you, Neah... by the way, I assume you're on a carnivore diet to be healthy and live a long prosperous life. I see you bought into the "Cool, Hip" tattoo lifestyle. My thought is you are such a lovely woman and they do not enhance your natural beauty. I'm an old guy who has three daughters [older than you]. I did not demand or force them not to get tattoos, They just respected my wish of not doing so. I remember many years ago we sat down one morning for breakfast. All of a sudden I noticed a small butterfly tattoo on my youngest daughter's arm! Then I looked at my middle daughter.. She had a lil hummingbird tattoo on her shoulder! I was getting a little perturbed at the total disrespect of Dad's [not demands] but wishes. I finally asked my oldest daughter why didn't she get a tattoo along with her sisters.. She said, "Well Dad I did but you wouldn't want to see where it is!" At that moment I knew it was a practical joke to set me off. They couldn't hold it anymore and broke into hysterics. All very well-done fake tattoos.
