I'll be honest, I don't share the same experience as those who grew up with that game, but the Gran Turismo series as a whole has given me some of my favorite soundtracks. Although I don't associate the music with those memories, I still love it to death. Even if racing games aren't something I'd normally choose, I hope that one day I'll get the chance to listen to this in-game as it was meant to be played.

I remember being a kid, wanting do drive fast cars crazy arcade style, but then gran turismo came along and required me to get a license from the driving school. Then i learned how to brake for corners at 7 years old and got up to ia license. No other games coulda done this
I Just got all the gold grades on the Rally Licence Tests, but the hardest one to get is in R-8, I kept failing +20 times because you have to complete whole 1 lap of Tahiti Maze without slightly bumping the walls for less than 2:00.000 and I managed to complete it for 1:59.895 and for doing this, I got a Subaru Impreza Rally Car Prototype as a prize car. Took me long enough T_T.
Ghost Nappa This one sounds a bit better imo. But what would be amazing is if we had a Gran Turismo with GT4 content (cars and races, excluding the menu soundtrack and keeping the GT3 menu soundtrack instead), with GT3 physics (HUD, menus, gameplay, etc!). That would've been an awesome GT game.

You've got the volume up too loud when you listen to music, so when you start/stop music your ears find it jarring. back off the volume about 10-20% and after a while it should stop happening
