Both of them are beautiful. And Mr. Smythe's constant tweaking and improving are why I have a hard time pulling the trigger on purchasing stuff. It's a good conundrum to have. Have a great evening Mark.
I haven't used a scuttle in ages, I face lather but after seeing the improved model I just might get one and start again. Thanks for sharing!
Ken, let us know what you decide to do. If you get one, please share your experience.:)
Will do!@@MarkSzorady
Love mine! I used it this morning and most mornings!
Larry, thanks for conforming how nice this scuttle is.:) Do you find it to be rather durable as Phoenix Shaving describes it? I realize it's ceramic, but the glazing does it give it a rather robust quality.
@@MarkSzorady I think it does better because the increased ridge at the top helps prevent "over-run" of lather.
I've had my present hand-thrown stoneware scuttle for 15 years. Paid a king's ransom for it, by comparison. Gotta say, ceramic seems pretty attractive... lighter, thinner. Really like that glazing. Too bad a fellow only needs one scuttle! - At least I know I have more options if my current scuttle were to break. Thanks!
I love the spacescape scuttle works beautifully. Love the large size. Only complaint i have is the use of low grade cork in the plug. My cork started breaking apart after week worth of shaves, replaced it with a silicone size 2. Ame size that their indestructible travel scuttle cork
Nice review Mark. See you tomorrow at the meetup. have a safe trip. 👍
Thank you, Bill. See you tomorrow.:)
missed opportunity for: BOOM! Lather!
haha - I expected to see you making up some lush lather.
nice review Mark !! have a great weekend
Thank you, RM.:)
Hi Mark- Great scuttle preview; thank you! Have a wonderful weekend and best regards!
Thanks, Mike.:) Have a great weekend! :)

Another great review in the books- Really a nice addition to any den👍✌️
Thank you, James.:)
I live mine but I too use it on the counter top.
I am literally already planning on getting one at the beginning of next month. Currently I am using their travel scuttle and my only complaint is it is a bit small. Hence the reason I decided to get a Spacescape scuttle. However I will say kinda worry on it being ceramic. I haven't dropped my travel scuttle yet so maybe I am worried over nothing. I actually 3D printed a shave bowl with a lip on it like you are showing and I have to say that little change makes a world of difference. If that thing would hold heat like a scuttle I would use it all the time. Thank you for the great video and review.
Jeff, when I first got the Dreamscape scuttle, I made sure to use it on the counter when building a lather. The size of these things is surprising...larger than you think. So you really have to get the feel, over time, of holding it. Little by little, I became more comfortable holding it on camera and building a lather. My first video review, however, I made sure not to lift it up. I was afraid of dropping it. As you can see in the video, I kept it on the counter.

Since then, I've become accustomed to holding it up in front of the camera when building a lather....but holding it CAREFULLY. When I'm not doing a video review, and I'm using these scuttles for a shave, I keep them firmly on the counter.:)
Beautiful scuttle...Beautiful design! Congratulations, Mark! A big shout out to Mark Bagwell for giving you the heads up about this new & improved scuttle. Dead Bang Winner!!😊
Beth, thanks very much!:) It's a nice improvement over the previous model. I was curious.:)
That thing is bigger than my bathroom. 😂
:):):) It's got some size to it, no doubt! Substantial.:)
I quit using my scuttle; the warm lather is nice, but the warmer the later, the more watery the lather becomes
Have you tried The Intergalactic Indestructible Shatterproof Travel Scuttle by Phoenix Shaving? It's polypropylene. "The polypropylene works like a buffer and shields the lather from the effects of the boiling water. It just behaves differently than traditional ceramic and tends to rewrite this old rule."
