- HERES A TIP WHEN RIDING YOUR GY6 SCOOTER NO MATTER IF ITS A 50cc or 300cc always listen for noise differences because this is how your engine talks to you . A Normal healthy engine should sound good and the performance should also be good once you notice a different noice or rythm in your engine it's very important to diagnose the problem start by checking the simple common stuff like oil levels both motor & gear fluids . after engine is cool remove your sparkplug look at what color your sparkplug is ...? refer to a sparkplug chart reader on google to read your sparkplug correctly if your uncertain on how to read it by the looks of it .
Anyhow other components of your scooter will make noises like shown in this video of mine , my cvt is making noise at every stop I accelerate away from , also my two side view mirrors are rattling eventhough I've tightened them up .
I purchased a new quality belt along with a new clutch to solve my cvt vibration noise problem now as for my mirrors I've purchased handlebar end mirrors and 4 inch light bars my plan is to delete my red original rattling side view mirrors and install 2 4" light bars in their place along with the new handlebar end mirrors ðð
to keep all your inner engine parts working properly always stay ontop of your fluid changes motor & gear oil changes is the key to keeping your inner engine parts happy working correctly ð old black oil looses it power in doing what it supposed to doing meaning you want clean fluids in your scooter dont allow it to turn black ok

Have you thought about upgrading to a newer model GY6 150cc scooter? These Chinese scooters are a great source of transportation for inner city or rural driving but at best, they're only reliable for up to 2 - 3yrs. if you're lucky. After about 3yrs. (maybe 4yrs. if you're mechanically inclined), you'll spend more time fixing than riding. I just upgraded from the two Tao Tao 150cc scooters that I purchased back in Nov. 2019 to 2024 models different manufactures of course. I purchased the VITACCI SPARK 150cc for my wife and the RPS ADV 150cc for myself from a dealer located in Arlington TX. They have a huge selection of scooters, motorcycles, ATV's, go carts, UTV's etc., just google the one's that I have listed above and it will show websites that have them. I got all of mines from a dealer in Arlington TX, I can't give you the link because TH-cam would kick it to your spam folder...Good Luck

why use such light weights 12g on a 150cc? you are robbing yourself of power and longevity by running them. Try using 16g rollers and you will see the powerband increase. you will pick up top speed on the top end of the throttle and a more steady acceleration throughout as well as better fuel consumption. then maybe change the clutch springs and contra and you will see a steady cruising speed of 55mph with more to give.
Thanks for commenting after reading your comment and your advice I thought about it my experience was better with 14 or 15 gram roller weights so yesterday evening I switched them as I was installing a new clutch and belt ðð
